so i sent a picture to my mom of me wearing some new frames i got, and she replied with how bad i look, and how much weight have i lost, and how my dad and my sister think the same thing. wtf? i look really good! i was chubby before, everyone in the older generation in my family is overweight. i look really good...

You look great!
Families can be harsh and unthoughtful at times, don't dwell on what they said. I just lost a bunch of weight, and my mom is always bringing me down; I try not to let it get to me.
wheat:
I dig the look.

Congrats. I wish I had the motivation to work out regularly.
fatdavid8:
Damn, girl! Do I have to send you a photo of my knee surgery scar? Quit that they're runnin'.

Congrats on the 8 miles, though. The longest race I ever won was 8 miles, and when I finished I was finished. blackeyed A half-marathon's a bit more than I'd care to race.

Ambien makes me hallucinate, in addition to the side effects IceManCometh described above . I also wake up naseauous, and sometimes a little disoriented.

I'd recommend trying a sample of anything before actually getting a percription to it, just to see how your body reacts. In addition, sleeping pills can turn into a really nasty habit along with some really undesirable side-effects. If possible I'd stray from those... Also stay away from over-the-counter sleep aids. They have antihistamines that keep you groggy all day.

Maybe a lifestyle change of some sort is in store?

To be honest, when I'm desperate, smoking pot works best for me. And by no means am I a habitual pot-smoker. I've got far too much shit to do to waste my time with that... but when it comes to insomnia, its the only thing that, personally, really does the trick. And this is after 7 years of being pumped full of pills. But hey, thats just my method. wink

I feel for ya...Good luck...
solomantra:

Yeah, Ambien does give you amnesia. It does make you do goofy, lovey-dorky things if you stay awake on it. I once stayed awake on it half the night w/a my ex-gf and we wound up hugging and cuddling for hours while listening to Brian Eno. biggrin

so my world is spinning just a little bit, not sure which way is up. so many questions, fears, just not sure how to absorb it all. i know it's bad, but it just doesn't feel real. perhaps i'm a bit numb, perhaps i feel relieved i finally know everything, perhaps i saw it coming and knew it all along. i'll be ok, the future...

things have gotten a little crappier since my last entry, though nothing i want to go into too much detail about. it's boy trouble of course, specifically switters trouble. i think it will pass though. i hope at least.
i was only able to run 4 of the 6 attemptedmiles yesterday. the banana i had for breakfast was bouncing around in my stomach making me...
