well someone told me to update so i guess i will. it's been a somewhat rough week. i've been fighting a pretty bad cold all week, thats just now starting to subside. it's ok though the weekend is here i work tonight then tommorow it's ministry at harpos. sunday it's NIN at dte, it's gonna be a good weekend. finally got around to catching up on movies i'd been wanting to see this week. i watched:
sarah silverman:jesus is magic- it was ok, i like her stuff alot but it just seemed like she was trying way to hard in this. some of the song stuff in it was funny though.
freedomland-decent thriller, great acting job by julianne moore but you could see where it was going every step of the way.
green street hooligans-absolutely loved it, great performances. it really made you feel the connection the guys in the firms had, i could see this one becoming a personal favorite.
the heart is deceitful above all things- based on j.t. leroy's fradulent novel of the same name. pretty intense stuff, depictions of child abuse rarely hinted at in films. plus it had asia argento playing the ultimate white trash bitch.
the three burials of melquiades estrada- just an all around great film about friendship, honor, revenge and forgiveness, in a lonesome texas bordertown and mexico.
an inconvient truth- if you care at all about the earth, global warming or having a future for yourself, your children, nieces, nephews, please take the time to go see this.
anyway enough about that, i hope everyone has great weekend especially the lovelypammy because she just kicks alot of ass.

decided to change alias for the hell of it, i was getting sick of youhavekilledme. well tommorow i'm going to see DOPE, who is my all time favorite guilty pleasure band. musically not very talented, their lyrics consist mostly of fuck you in one form or another, but they put on a hell of a live show. wish i didn't already have plans for saturday cuz i found out street crime is playing again locally, oh well. i have friday and saturday off from work this weekend is gonna be great i can already tell. i hope everyone else has a great weekend to.
well so far i'm not too fond of the new layout, but i think it'll grow on me eventually. this week has been a fucking killer when it comes to my car. thursday morning i blow out two tires. take it to the tire place and i need all 4 replaced. this morning i notice the gar is leaking gas severely, take it to the repair place to get that fixed. so they fix it and i go to pick the car up and the engine won't turn over. so it's still at the repair shop. that car better run like a fucking champ when it's all fixed. it has brand new tires, a new gas line, new batteries and now will probably have a tune-up. anyway tommorow should be a good day, hanging with my best mate and going to a local punk show at one of the local dive venues, should be a good time.

edit to talk about what a great day yesterday turned out to be. so i decide i'm gonna head to the little indie record store to see what they have. so for $35 dollars i picked up

so after i decide to go to my favorite mexican resteraunt. so i pull in and i notice there's a new video store opened next to it. so i eat my dinner and decide to peruse the video store. now when it comes to video stores if a new one opens near me i have to and mean have to go and look in it. especially if it's a little mom and pop one like this one. the reason i have to is the horror section. i'm a total geek for collecting horror movies and these little video stores always have odd or hard to find shit in their horror section. so anyway i have this little list of horror flicks that i'm looking for. well the one thats been number one on that list for awile now is sole survivor (not to be confused with that piece of shit soul survivors that came out a few years ago) anyway so sole survivor has never been issued on dvd. now i could have ordered it from a seller on amazon but it was always a little pricy and it takes the fun out of searching. so i start to look through this stores horror section and boom, they fucking have it. i about flip out, the thing is though it's in the rental section and not the sale section. so i say fuck it i'm gonna ask the guy if he wants to sell it. so i ask and he says sure. punches it into the computer and tells me he'll sell it for $7.50. goddamn deal. he then says he has some more horror flicks on sale 3 for $8. so i also picked up it's alive again, house on sorority row and let's scare jessica to death (which i had been looking for for awile also) so needless to say i went home ecstatic. i realize if you just read all this it probably sounds so fucking dorky and ridiculous but damn i was happy. plus the tigers got off their losing streak so yesterday was an all around success.

well i spent the holiday weeend at the folks house. it was nice to get away from here for three days and just spend some time doing a whole lot of nothing and relaxing. but today i gotta get back at it and go into work again tonight. when i left i knew it was gonna be hot, but i didn't want to leave the air running in my apartment because it costs and arm and a leg. so i just left the windows open. well three days of 90 degree weather in an upstairs apartment with just the windows open=a 90 degree apartment when you get home. i ran the air all night and it's now just starting to get to a reasonable temperture. can't wait for june to get here i have shows to go to in june, when they're all over i'll have already been to more concerts this year then i did all of last year, i miss seeing live music so this really is a bonus for the summer.
man i'm in a mood right now. i just got back from the secretary of state's office to renew my registration and get a new tag for my car. fucking $80 for this little sticker square to go on my license plate. i've been doing this for years but every year when it comes time to renew and they say that $80 i'm always taken aback. i mean seriously how can they charge you 80 dollars for a tiny little sticky tab, thats 8 hours work down the drain for this. other than that the HIM show i went to was really really good, alot better than the last time i saw them. saw the da vinci code last night, havent read the book but the movie was just sort of.. i don't know eh i guess. i just walked out feeling rather ambivalent about the whole thing. i guess personally i have no real vested interest in the story and the movie wasn't good enough to draw me in. then again i've never liked ron howard either. well comic con is this weekend, so i'll be heading there tommorow and will hopefully be able to find some dvds i've been looking for and never got around to ordering online.
well now i'm on day 3 of 4 days off in a row. spent the weekend down at the folks house for mothers day and all that. today though i'm going to see my best mate, it's drinking all night tonight, then going to see H.I.M. tommorow night. the weather fucking sucks hasnt stopped raining for the past 3 days but thats ok, there's no work in site and i'll take that any day. i also wanted to add that i'd like to personally thank QWEST phone company for saying no to the NSA when it comes to their illegal wiretapping. it's really nice to see a company actually stand up in the face of enormous pressure and possible monetary losses. so for those of you who have a phone look into getting your service from QWEST unless you want the NSA illegally listening to your conversations.

well i'm in the middle of an 8 day stretch at work which really sucks. me and a co-hort at work are considering going to the bar on break after management leaves tonight to alleviate the pain a bit. not much else to report. the new ministry album is really really good. it's the first heavy album that i've listened to over and over in a really long time. the new tool is so so at best. looking forward to the weekend as i should have 4 days off in a row, lots and lots of drinking once the weekend hits.
well i went back to work tonight after my weekend off and my boss managed to fucking piss me off within 5 minutes of me being there. fucking lazy ass fuck!!! dickhead only works three days this week then is going on vacation for 10 days and still wants to do jack shit. i can't wait for the end of summer when i quit this fucking hell hole. no more free movies will suck but i'll live. i'll never come back to this theatre though once i leave. my money will definitely be going somewhere else when i want to see something. ok now that that is out of the way, i saw hard candy over the weekend. nasty little thriller/ revenge fantasy. i can't quite reccomend it as i thought it went a touch over the top and i couldnt buy into it fully. i do reccomend it as a rental when it comes to dvd. hard candy
well i'm going to a friends graduation in kalamazoo so i'll be gone for most of the weekend. might be around some later tonight. everyone have a good weekend!!!
