I give up on the pictures, even though they are highly entertaining.

I've been on surgicals this month, which means I've gotten a lovely array of specimens so far. Lots of stabbings and shootings lead to oodles of lacerated spleens and bowels and livers, all of which end up to be mine. I've had couple products of conception, which can be as boring as a...

Mmmmkay. Let's try this again.

It's been a busybusybusy month.

1. My pork chop officially moved in. There were just a handful of times that I really wanted to wring his neck. Now that we are settled in, things are proceeding nicely.

2. I started my MBA. The hospital is paying for most of it. It's not so bad so far.

3. I had a...

I feel like I am going to let you down, my kittens, because the month of June was really painfully dull in the gross-stories arena. I'm doing hematology this month, which basically means I sit and look at blood smears, bone marrow biopsies, and body fluids all day, and maybe do a post-vasectomy semen analysis if I'm lucky.

The few stories I have are really...

I am a fat fuck.

I just ate up half a bag of fake beef crumbles with taco seasoning and looooots of hot sauce with tortilla chips.

Work's been wicked busy. I had a massive cancerous colon to deal with this morning. The colon in and of itself is not bad. Picking through all the fat around the colon, fruitlessly searching for wee little lymph...

Inquiring minds want to know: regarding the decapitated baby from the last journal entry... it had autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease. Each of its kidneys weighed about 400 grams, when a normal adult kidney weighs about 150 g. So basically the kidneys (and hence the kid) were so big, they wouldn't fit through the cervix. Oopsie-daisy.

Yes, I am a resident (a real live doctor,...

An entertaining week, work-wise. Two baby heads in one week. One botched late term abortion + one perforated uterus = one baby head free floating in the mother's abdominal cavity. Sweet! The second baby head actually came with the body, just detached. It had a lethal birth defect that caused its body to be so grossly bloated, it wouldn't fit through the birth canal and...

ah, I see. I suppose that would complicate things. I can't say I jealous. I suppose if your calling something particularly stinky it must be pretty high up on the scale.

I love delivering babies. A perfect combination of invasive procedure and fulfilling day.

What was the brith defect etc ?

Dissection is also cool.

Are you a resident ?????

more details.... This looks like a great journal ...

My latest tattoos turned out quite nice. Hand grenades. I don't know what my fixation is with them.

Kirby Puckett died at my hospital the day before yesterday. Not that I give a rat's ass about baseball or athletes in general, but everyone was all worked up about it.

Went to L.A. again a couple weeks ago with the b.f. Evidently we were both in...
