Can you believe it!? I've only done two autopsies this entire month! It's feast or famine with them, really.
While this appeals to the lazy slob in me, it doesn't make for very good storytelling. I did a 21-week fetus who died because its mom got a parvovirus infection. Fetuses are always kind of fun. Gelatinous, wee small, cute little organs, easy to dissect. My only other case was a little old lady who had a spectacular body-wide fungal infection. Not that this is anywhere remotely exciting to you, but it was rad to see all the yeast in her kidneys and lungs under the microscope.
As technologically retarded as I am, it was a big deal to make the switch over to Firefox. So far, so good. And trust me: this was a very big deal. We're lucky I can turn the computer on, people.
It's getting to be about that time again: time for more ink. I'm having a bit of an issue though, in that I want to add to an existing piece, and it seems like nobody wants to do it. I don't know if it's because it's boring, and they don't feel like they can be creative, or if they feel like they're infringing on the other artist's territory or what. Alls I know is, I do not want to go back to the first dude. I think what I want would be fairly easy (Asian windbars/waves around the existing piece) and would make some artist a nice quick buck, but I guess not. I'm a wee bit frustrated over it all.
On the upside, I am planning to get some good pictures of my hand grenades in the next couple weeks. Considering their location, I can't see them unless I am a contorted mess with a hand mirror.
I realize much of my journal revolves around food. I can't help it. I adore it. Currently I am craving a bean & cheese burrito from the greasy fucking Filibertos on the corner, along with a giant size horchata. Fatty definitely could do without, but damn it sounds good.
I need a new digital camera. Mine is broken, and besides, I can't find the fucking thing anyway. Any suggestions???
I miss her! She should not be allowed to take vacation.
** Because you were dying to know, I found the digital camera behind the bottle of Southern Comfort. It is, however, still broken.
