We met up again this weekend. I arrived on Friday night and met him in our room. Every time I see him I still have that thrill and excitement as if he was jumping out of the closet once again. It never seems to fail. It was quite invigorating after the long drive. After this, we went out for Iowa's version of Mexican food. We sat; I unwound from my commute, had a few beers and went back to our room. We didn't stay up too late, but made the best out of our evening.
"Satyr"day we had a relaxed, insouciant late morning. We walked around the town, discovered the different parts of the downtown and general area, and planned our evening. After walking a bit for dinner, we went back and relaxed to the History Channel. We went out to the local piano bar, which was quite enjoyable and rather urbane for a town that seems so desolate on the outside. We got our drink on to the tunes of Tom Waits and The Doors, which we requested. He played more tunes, even some other Tom songs, and we sat and participated in the unlighted table near the back. We decided it was alright to be incognito...there's always next time. We didn't go to bed early like planned. We had to wake up early to part ways once again and drive to our reality away from each other. When I had to leave, I felt it got tougher for me to drive away. I wouldn't have asked for it any other way.
When together, I feel as if everything we do, say or even think comes true in a peculiar way. Right now, Pulp Fiction is on TV after we talked about the very same subject yesterday. He's my love, a talisman.

ever since i put your picture in a frame.
i come calling in my sunday best
ever since i put your picture in a frame.
i'm gonna love you till the wheels fall off, oh yeah.
i love you baby, and i always will
ever since i put your picture in a frame."
