So I'm finally over my death-like illness. If you didn't know, I was pretty damn sick in the end of August. Not until this past weekend did I rid myself of my cough. Luckily the sweating, aching, general desire to commit suicide only lasted about 5 days. Coughs are much easier to deal with. So, I guess I'm back and I've brought free cheese. Delicious,...

So this week was my first SG get together of my short time here. I saw a couple familiar faces from days past (MissTyrios, AbeVigoda, & ClaudiaJean.) I also met a good number of new people... Some who will be named are PresidentNumber2, Wendy, illstabyou, oyaji, PointBlank (who I think I was yelling at about the Red...

You're a great jacket watcher. But you're a better beer watcher!
It was great to see you again. You are pretty damn funny, too!

I thought I was the one doing the yelling all night.
I don't remember most of the later parts of the night. My friend is the bartender/manager over there, so I'll probably get the details from him. First time I've ever met the internet people too.

A very busy 13 days...
Here's what happens from 8/10-8/22. From 8/10-8/20 Sabrosa, one of my best friends (and roommate for many years in San Francisco) will finally come to NYC. I am very excited. There are minimal plans, but it will be goodness. With Sabrosa I'll meet a bunch of you SG people (which will probably lead to my membership being revoked.) From 8/18-8/20...

Hotness, The Hotness, & Misc. shit.
It's hot as fuck. I can't deal with it. I'm sweating like a savage. I'm waiting for the blackout of 2006. It already happened in Astoria and my guess is tomorrow it will happen in all of NYC. I hope it doesn't since, damn, I don't know how I can live without air conditioner. I think it has saved...

I told TangledUpInBlue that I'm bringing my jammies and a pillow.
I have nothing important to say tonight (or any other night, really) so I'm just going to complain.
Do I have to care about the "Tour de France"? How is some guy who rides a bike important around France important? It doesn't even make sense. There's like the yellow jersey, the green jersey, the puce jersey, the checkered jersey... What the hell do they all...

Thanks! My soul-piercing skills are pretty minimal, though, so . . . You know, no worries.
Now, that said, I bet you could make a killing with an emo song by that name. I mean, so long as you wear enough eyeliner and cry a lot, too, it'll be the next overprivileged disaffected suburban kid anthem.

Transformers the Movie... Again?
I went and saw that damn Pirate movie earlier this week. God awful. I just don't like swashbuckling (correct spelling of swashbuckling... anyone?) I don't understand pirates in general. Yeah, the whole rape thing might intreague some, but I'm just to lazy to force anyone to do anything. I can't even force myself to use the channel up button on my...

Michael Bay= stab my eyeballs out. You know this. I am NOT amused with this whole thing.
I should bring my DVD out with me. We should get hammered and watch the Movie. Oh joyous day!

Entirely correct. And yeah--so overrated. The one time I swashbuckled, the experience was underwhelming at best.

Welcome to SG, by the way!
This happened to me about a couple days ago and it really is troubling me. I fear the worst. Let me explain.
So off I am in deep sleep and wouldn't you know that I get thrown in the middle of a dream. This dream starts by me answering a phone call from Jessica Simpson (please hold all reactions to the end of the dream,...

And a legend finds a new lease on life.
Welcome to the fold. Nice initial entry. So are you now a permanent fixture in NYC? Any plans to live anywhere else? Just curious.
And your dream about the Simpson sisters is definitely sad. Actually, I think it's just like a Jon Woo movie. So much potential, but afterwards you shrug and think "What the hell was that?" Except your dream didn't have a scene with doves. Or DID IT?!?!

OK, you're in. Now go in there and be funny. It's by far and away the best group on the site and I had to pull strings to get you in. So don't let me down, fucker!

With pictures!
With my first blog post I was told to "Just have something that says "Hi" or something. Doesn't matter." So, without further adieu..
Hi, or something.
Hi, or something.

You spend HOURS with a bunch of damn SGs kids more than a year ago and you're just NOW joining?

If there's one thing that needs more Subrosa and MissTyrios, IT'S LAW, BITCH!
Also, that picture makes you look like a serial killer. You may need a lawyer soon. If you're indigent and in Worcester County, I can help you out with that.

And oddly, since I pay no attention to sports of any sort, I did notice Agassi's departure. I didn't cry, but I noticed. I offer you my condolences.
I, too, was choked up at Agassi's departure. No tears, but definitely a poignant moment. One of the things I really liked about him was watching him evolve as a person over his career. The young, cocky kid eventually learning respect for the game and his own talent and becoming the consummate professional. And he was a blast to watch play in the era of big serve tennis.
I hope you're still feeling well.
