So I'm finally over my death-like illness. If you didn't know, I was pretty damn sick in the end of August. Not until this past weekend did I rid myself of my cough. Luckily the sweating, aching, general desire to commit suicide only lasted about 5 days. Coughs are much easier to deal with. So, I guess I'm back and I've brought free cheese. Delicious, delicious cheese.
September is a slow, slow month for me. Thank GOD. I like slow months. Don't get me wrong, busy months are fun too, especially when it's cool shit. But right now I just want to go home and rest. Maybe watch a little football, perhaps? Speaking of football, I spent this past Sunday with my girlfriend... The last Sunday she'll see me during the sunlight hours until the weekend between the Conference Championships and the Superbowl (that's in the end of January.) Lucky for her we are going to Paris that weekend. Lucky for me too. I plan on being knee deep in pastry cream for four days in Paris. Also, where can a guy score some absenthe. Not that bottled crap, but a real glass of absenthe at a bar in Paris? This is the stuff I need to know.
I don't know if anyone noticed or cared or anything, but Andre Agassi is no more in tennis. Now, I never have been much of a tennis fan, but I've always been a huge Agassi fan. When I was a kid he was cool. Long (mullet) hair, neon clothes, attitude. He was the only cool tennis player around. Probably the only cool tennis player ever. Now he's gone, losing to some qualifier in the US Open (who's name was B. Becker. Mmmm.) I didn't know that I would be all that upset when he lost. I was a wreck. Once I saw him sobbing after the match I broke down. I think it's the first time I cried since the 2004 World Series (we will get into why I only cry during sporting events some other time.) It was hard. My crying made my girlfriend cry (and think about what the fuck is wrong...
