Fuckin' women.
Why am I such a sucker? I'm a good guy, I do all the right things. Reasonably good-looking, cute, I'm told.
Sensitive, talented, hard-working. And lonely as shit. Meet a cool girl, hit it off, and I'm too much of a gentleman to press the point, and she heads off with some skinny little fucker who couldn't lift my sketchbook.
Fuck. For...

OK, second art show under my belt. Went pretty well, sold one painting.
It's in the office of some Sacto-based interior designers, so the art will remain up for probably 2-3 months, and all their clients will see it! love
Jeez, getting ready for a show is exhausting...
Back to work.

OK, my main problem was that I'm a spaz and had a plug wire disconnected and one idle-mix needle all goofed up. Runs and drives great! Still needs timing adjustment for WOT but...shit!

OK, car guys. I need some help.
My '69 Coronet is 99% ready for the road, but having installed a big block, and sorted out electrical, fuel, steering, vacuum, and all the other stuff, there's still one problem.
When I put it into D and step on the gas, she dies.
There's a pop, like a backfire, which is simultaneous with the dying.
Car starts...

The 10 guage is just an H&R topper. I got it used from a guy I work with. Probably about the best $50 I've ever spent. I dont know of anyone making new 10 guage double barrels but if you get out in the country and check the little gunshops you should be able to find a good used one. In the seventies and early eighties before the development of good non toxic shot or the 3 1/2" twelve guage loads the big 10's were the best you could get for goose with steel shot. They were just ridiculously heavy and kicked REALLY hard. I am keeping my eye out for one myself, I'll take it to my gunsmith and have it cut down to 18 1/2" to keep in the motorhome. An old guy that I work with can reload some "Buck and Ball" loads for me for bear. Besides it would be a really cool camp gun anyway. Another good but much more expensive option is the SPS 10 guages that remington made untill just a few years ago, or even the legendary "Roadblocker" semi auto that Ithaca made back in the seventies, but I only know of one of those and the goofy old farmer who has it will not even talk about selling it.

So Ember just bumped off A Suicide Girl Whom Shall Remain Nameless to take a place in my favorites.
It wasn't the prior girl's fault, it's just that the set is THAT good. love

In other news, paintings proceeding apace.
The Coronet is running! I've been nailing down various odds and ends, fixing the fuel feed line (had a crap chrome line splitter, went to less-pretty-but-more-practical...
