Seems I'm still here, so maybe you can help me. I need to find this film again..
and this one..
and this one..
Tomorrow I'm driving to Devon for a job interview, hoping this is the chance I've been waiting for.
I think it's time to go home, to be somewhere I can feel I belong.

Tomorrow my time's up here, too - I hope to see something of you, still.

It's been a slow start to the year. After a happy celebration among friends by the sea, I returned to Wales and work, and everything gradually froze.

It's beginning to thaw now - I'm hoping for a clear run to the coast this weekend, for my birthday, and for news of two jobs. One would take me South, the other West. Either way, a change of pace in a new place is what I've been needing for a while. I have hopes for 2010.

Nightmare Before Christmas and Ten Years of ATP were cathartic, joyous, exhausting - great to meet Powderfinger and Clio and spend time with the brothers and others, by the sea.
My ears still ring from the 13 minute break in You Made Me Realise, and I'm still sick from the cold I caught immediately upon my return, but I'm beginning to feel festive. No apologies then, for this..
..as the days lengthen into years!

All this rain has worn me down, and I was low enough.

But we're off to the sea, my brothers and me, and All Tomorrow's Parties. See you there?

Thanks to those who responded to my last blog. Maybe it was wrong to compare those two sets, but they treated dark subjects very differently and seemed to illustrate a point I was trying to make. On the one hand naturalistic but ambiguous images of coercion and implied violence contrasted with eroticism, and on the other a carefully staged presentation of sexual assault and murder as eroticism in itself.
But perhaps that's not what I saw, or the problem is really just in my head. I wanted to say a lot more on the subject but I think better to leave it alone now.

A question for my friends - I'd like to hear your views on two recent sets; 'Funny Games' with Nemesis and Dwam (cameos from Benten and Sinnah), and 'Sqweegle' with Chloe and Coley.
I loved the first, and hated the second, and I want to know if anyone shares that view.
If not, then I don't belong here.
Edit: I should qualify this by saying that both sets were well conceived and brilliantly executed, and that I like all the girls involved a lot. My contrasting reactions to the sets are down to their content, and the messages they send.
