An exclusive Celest update!
I'm currently back in skoo to get a big people's job-I hear it's all the rage these days-so I've been rather busy getting my ducks all in a row. And now that I have all +1, I figured it's about time for me to become more active on SG again, WHOOPIE! It's suuuper exciting to be back at school, I can't believe how much I missed being surrounded by a highly amusing and articulate peer group. I'm even somewhat mystified to admit that I missed all the reading requirements too!
Currently I'm in the process of finding a new photographer in order to produce the kind of quality sets I know I can do and I know that a great photog can direct. I'll keep everyone updated what the theme of the next set will be when I get to that point.
On a more personal note, I've currently quit WoW (I know I'm sorry to every disappointed friend out there, but I will return) in order to focus on my studies better. Well, at least until the expansion comes out
I'm going to try out the Dragonica beta with a friend, see how it goes. I've heard some good things and since it's free I'm down with that! And if anyone's interested in playing I'll keep you posted if it's good or not. Since quitting WoW I've actually been getting around to all the things I said I was going to do over the past like four years and never did because of my addiction issues. Well here's an example of my procrastination:
OH as a side note, everyone who friended me on myspace I'm super sorry! I canceled my account for now, I sort of lost interest in that site. I still love you all scout's honor! I currently use FB and gmail and that's about it. I'll post it later on when I'm less lazy.
And SPEAKING of laziness and me posting things, here's a picture of my little baby girl!
Isn't she the cutest? I never thought I'd love a rat as much as I adore my little Peach-she really is my furry child (don't judge me!).
I've also been catching up on my anime series' since I've been trying to "kick the habit," finally watching Blood+ after years of curiosity pushed aside for my latest tier piece. So if ANYone has some recommendations for anime, lay it on me! I'm open to any suggestions.
Again, thanks to everyone that's kept in touch with me and stuff, you're my rock stars! You remind me I can still do this and that yes, it matters. Have a GREAT Saturday night xoxo

HOLY POOP DECK CAPTAIN!
I haven't been on in EONS, this I know. I'm sorry for all my disappointed friends for not updating frequently. The world of Celest has been rather hectic as of late. I'm trying to go back to school and acquire a more useful degree, get as much financial assistance as I can (ugh, paperwork out the wazoo, and I thought filling out my FASFA was bad!) and trying to get a job that'll pay the bills and work around my classes, whew! Lots of stuff.
That and my roommate is supposedly moving out of our apartment and my bf is taking his place, but we've seen little moving actually occur. Humph.
Other than that trying to make ends meet means little spending money, that goes towards sets as well
Hopefully I can figure out something soon, I really want to get something off the ground that's amazing and equally sexy/goofy for everyone to enjoy. Everyone who reads this have a super fun Monday or I'll break your face! Kisses!

I am searching for a new photographer both on this site and through word-of-mouth for my next set. Unfortunately I live in Kansas which really limits my options as far as availability is concerned. I am willing to travel but probably not more than 3 hours drive (unless you are the best photog on the planet and then we can talk).

Hokay, so here's the deal: my set comes out tomorrow (yippie!) and I just purchased a new Asus laptop, can life get any sweeter for a nerd-on-the-go? Perhaps if there is an overwhelming fan support over my set and I get a little email saying someting along the lines of, "Grats, you're in!" Could my week get any better. Or if someone put like an extra 2k in my bank account or something. Hey, a girl can dream alright?

O, PS: I forgot to update a while ago that I FINALLY started working on finishing my lower back tattoo, though I don't want to post any pics of it because A. I'm phenomenally lazy and B. it's not quite finished yet. Hopefully I have enough money left over from this paycheck to complete this dream come true! Perhaps I should start a "Celest is poor need help paying for WoW acct" fund or something, see if I can get a steady inflow of cash that way. *grins mischievously*

So I've never really posted a blog before beyond the nonsensical tangents i attempt to untangle occasionally, so I'm not sure where to start. My set seems like a good jumping off point.
The title "Shoot for the Moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars" may seem a bit hoaky and something you'd find in a Hallmark store, but this quote seemed appropriate for me and my set. I love astronomy, my zodiac and "space" in general--it captured my fascination many moons ago. The concept of space humbles me, comforting me when times get really stressful. I can just look up and know that there are bigger things going on outside my little world and strangely enough allows me some sense of serenity.
My dream of becoming a Suicide Girl also seemed about as likely as me witnessing a black hole because of my previous jobs and just overcoming my own fears involving the consequences of my actions, personal insecurities, etc. I'm glad the stars finally aligned in order for me to let go of my doubts and fears and shoot my first set ever (notice it looks like I'm having a conversation the whole set--yea I was. Oopsie!). Looking back on this set I love it, but know that I want to do more and better quality sets.
As you can see I hope my name will be Celest Suicide and as per the theme of my preferred name I chose to start simple and small, using the pop of the star-shaped glitter to really make my set stand out. Plus, who DOESN'T love rolling around naked in glitter?
So here's my photo set (available June 23rd)! It might be a long shot, but I don't regret trying to live one of my dreams. Please please give me some fedback, good bad and ugly--I really appreciate comments! Enjoy!Celest
