so the year is coming along nicely, i can't believe its almost half over already. crazy! spring was amazing, the trips to japan and hong kong were so much fun. i am so happy to have been able to go to japan even after the disasters to see it was the same as always. maybe a little darker for a bit to conserve energy, but now everything is back to normal. even the karaoke bars are back to journey and madonna tracks. hong kong was busy, crowded, loud and dirty. one of the more fun cities ive been to though. the food... OMG so good. if you are a health nut like i am these days, you'll love the food out there. fishermen tie their boat to the docks and you go around and pick out whatever live seafood you want. they put it in a bag for you and you walk across the street and have someone cook it right there for you.then you sit on the dock and eat the freshest seafood on the planet. love that city. you can also take the train about 45 minutes and be in complete wilderness away from the city. that was a nice break also.

next up summer. OMG there is so much going on. june starts of with san diego for a marathon, then costa rica with some girlfriends, then wisconsin for a wedding and chicago to celebrate my birthday! then july is new york and a wedding in napa. august has a yearly camping trip my friends take every year in central california, followed by LA for a bachelorette party. (seriously if i know you, you are either getting married or having a baby. this is getting ridiculous!).

fall is a littler quiet for the moment, just another wedding in northern california in september, and Italy in october! 10 days in florence and Rome, my favorite city on the planet. i still have a ticket to mexico i need to use, so maybe that will come up sometime in the middle of everything else, and i would love to go to hawaii, i miss it so much. well there you have it, i think im home about 6 days over the summer, if you need me, catch me now, or come on the trips with me!

where are you going this summer? anywhere i should know about?

oh it is so dreary out, i don't want to leave my bed. i wake up in the morning, eat breakfast, take a shower, and recently while its been raining so hard i crawl back in bed and stay there as long as i possibly can. i fond myself making appointments later in the day so i don't have to leave my warm nest. don't get me wrong, i don't mind the rain, but i don't want to be in it. i don't feel like wearing clothes that are just going to get wet, or shoes that might make my feet cold or damp. i am sick of wearing rain boots and heavy sweaters. yea yea i know we need it, but really, i wouldn't even mind if it was every other day with warm days in between. ok thats enough of my sad rant on bad weather, its not that bad...

we leave for hong kong on sunday! yeah! although the original plan was to go to japan for 10 days, i think this is a wonderful remix. i have never been to Hong Kong or anywhere in China for that matter. ive always wanted to but it seems i get pulled into another trip to japan and have such a great time i forget there are other countries waiting to be seen. we changed out trip a week before going, so figuring out what to do and how to do it in HK seems so rushed. there is part of me that just wants to go and see where the trip takes us. finding stuff DIY instead of a travelers book. i love the touristy stuff, but i would much rather find that hole in the wall restaurant that you only know if you know or accidentally run into it. i would also like to point out that Japan has some pretty cold weather right now (this is coming from a californian) being 40-50s right now, where as Hong Kong is in the 70s. not bad, my dreams are coming true. i kind of feel guilty for switching our plans. Japan needs as much help as possible, even if it is just us spending money there. i know the stores are hurting for customers since the entire country is in mourning. i have sent donations (as should you) but it just wasnt the time to go and have a great vaca. next time japan, i promise.

work is getting so busy, and projects are stacking up. there are art supplies just laying all over the house right now, im surprised i havent just started doing them in bed so i really never have to leave my nest. there is an awning over our studio door that is underneath our bedroom. the rain hitting the awning sounds like there are people walking outside our house. being that we live on a hill and there is no one remotely close to our backyard, its a sound we don't hear very often. reminds me of living in the city. i sort of miss that sound, just knowing people were out doing things. i couldn't give up the crickets and soft wind blowing for anything though, its so much more peaceful. this is why i have friends who still live in crowded areas so i can stay at their house should i need a night of noise living. there is something about it that makes me fall right asleep. you would thing the no noise would do it, but sometimes i need a good tranny yell and bus to drive by that just puts me out like a light.

ok, time to get out of my pillow fortress and get ready to head out into the wild weather.

hey peeps, its been FOREVER. with all these new places to talk and write about your life, i can't keep them all straight. one for friends, one for "special" friends, one for family, two for work, one just for pictures, one for baking. one for stories i write about people i don't like, another for artwork i want people to see but no one knows i did. geez, with all of these outlets, i need a hobby to get away from them all!

how are all of you? i miss you, i do. i miss looking hot and getting undressed with a bunch of other hot naked girls. i miss doing stupid shit for the sake of doing stupid shit. all of our friends now, although amazing people, are married, and parents, and adults. since WHEN do i have friends who are adults. i may own my own house business and husband, but who says that has to constitue adulthood. i should own my own house to have orgies in, own my own business to sell drugs out of it, and have a husband who wants to rock that with me. but alas, life moves forward and we all settle down a bit. also, the hangovers are a bit more severe than they used to be and i've made it this far without an STD, i'd like to keep it that way. fuck i sound old. boo.

so far 2011 has been good. a little slow at work, but who isn't right now. 2010 was amazing, i went saw singapore for the first time. fucking amazing and beautiful. japan, berlin ( i won a competition for best in hair color), new york, LA, mexico city, and wisconsin (yes, i had to throw a little americana in there). this year so far mt. fuji in spring for cherry blossoms, 2 weeks in italy for my 30th birthday(shh, i mean 28), wisconsin for a wedding and chicago on my actual birthday, costa rica for the girls trip, LA for a friend's show at the viper and a night at a magic castle, san diego for a marathon, the mexican riviera for the fuck of it, and what else? who knows, its only january!

i hope you guys are all having a great 2011 so far, maybe i'll do another set someday, i miss having my butt on your computer screen. haha!
