This is probably my last post here.
(I will never, ever have a "blog". Foul excuse for a word.)

I based my entire interaction here on the way the site was.

I can't find anything.
I can't easily see if my friends have updated or not.
I can't read the labels easily because they're in stupid fonts.
Everything takes a lot longer because the one-click...

Yeah, I hate the new layout too. I wanted to quit... Argh. I was asked to stay. I guess that's why I just made it easy for myself with the [ member= ??? ] tag in the front page. That at least somewhat mimics what was good about the old site. Anyway. I guess that's life. Can't expect something to stay great forever. I've used the old site countless times in classes as an example of good design. I coasted through my capstone (college final project) course because of how good the old site was. Now, it's just this.... which I guess accurately depicts how the US development works: move from the sleek one-click urban environment to the sick suburban sprawl. SG 4.0 is the suburbs of the internet. Okay. End rant.

Yeah, I always just go for 3000 b.c. because that's the start of human history. We can definitely prove events at that point because there are meager historical records. smile

The game went well-ish. We didn't get into any danger until the end of the session, then it was like, "Ok, you use the portal and I have to tell you, when you get through, it's a fight. See you all next week!" Yeah my gm is a cruel bastard at times. robot

I've been looking at the SG beta. http://beta.suicidegirls.com/

I hate it. Maybe if I was coming to it new, I wouldn't care. But I don't think so. I think I'd never have joined a site which looked like that.

a.) Hell yes you passed the test. It's a photo of my aunt and uncle. My mom demanded that I somehow get it posted on the internet. I showed her the thread and she just about fell over laughing.

b.) I'm digging the Beta.

c.) Tennis with Guitars is a damn cool band name. I wish I'd come up with it!

Saints: is a terrible film on several levels, but I must concede to enjoying it.

Beta: what is wrong w/ the current site? I rather prefer it to several others I regularly interface w/.

It occurs to me that farming is partly about predation, and partly about parasitism.
Specifically, meat and veg farming is predation. Dairy and fruit, mostly parasitism.

Edit.

I killed far too much time there. Make you links more superficial, like a baby falling over or some young teenager trying to do something on a skateboard and falling over and then his friend laughing like an idiot for seven minutes.
someoneuk:
Yeah, I need to start with the earlier nights I think.

Thanks for the recommendations, will check them out.

Rockets eh?

As usual, stupid people are "celebrating" the torture-murder of Catholic fundamentalists. I hate people who insist on being noisy. Tossers.

I got here too late. Missed it.

The longer I am here the harder it is to leave but the less satisfied I am.

You probly gathered, I completely hate the animated emoticons. I dunno, maybe I have ADHD or something; I just can't stand that continual flicker. Like having the TV on in the corner of the room, with the sound off, all the time.
I didn't ask for them, I don't want them, and I can't turn them off.
And I can't help seeing them as...

Re saints and such: I think you're right on with ego, although I think it's possible to be certain without being egotistical about it.
Re memory and such: I love the Socrates you quoted (paraphrased?).
I'll post some more thoughts on both subjects to my journal when I can.

There are hundreds of fools outside setting off fireworks. I am too tired for this. I can't listen to anything or watch the TV. And I won't be able to sleep. So, I guess I better go out and get completely SuperNintendo.
