That's right, kids. There's been some happenings w/your Humble Narrator that you should all be caught up on.
But first things first, I direct you to two new sets (remember now, there's nekkid ladies on this site!

First, the newest (and one of the best) sets from the lovely Sid!

Then, check out the debut set from the lovely Anthea!

I'll wait.
...
See? Would I steer you wrong?
Now, on to the update. First, a quick history lesson.
Four years ago, I took out a personal loan for $6000 to take care of some financial hardship (bills, college fees) as well as $$$ for a new apartment. All taken care of, all is well.
Well, come two months ago, it should've been paid in full. Yet $$$ was still getting taken out of my check. So, I call the bank, and find out that the loan was indeed paid off, and the $$$ was getting put in the savings acct. that I opened when I got the loan. I figured, "Oh wow, that's a couple extra hundred I didn't know I had. Cool." Turns out that the $9 above the minimum payment I was paying per week that I THOUGHT was going to the loan...wasn't. It was also going to the savings.
Tom had almost $2,000 he didn't know he had. And nearly shit himself in the process.
So yes, that means bills are taken care of, as well as Xmas shopping, which makes me feel a lot better. Plus, most of that $$$ will be staying put and accrueing so I may start saving for a driver's license and automobile car vehicle.
*happy dance*
What else has been going on?
Well, out of total randomness, I decided to start a thread asking people w/knowledge of foreign languages (which started w/me asking SGs from other countries) how to translate the following:
"I am a freak."
I asked to be as literal as possible, but it wasn't necessary. And I got a lot of varied responses.
And here they are!
"Jeg er en frik." (Norwegian, courtesy of Anthea)
"Soy anormal." (Spanish, courtesy of demoivre)
"Boku wa hennajin desuyo." (Japanese, courtesy of Drakyn)
"Ich bin eine Missgeburt." (German, courtesy of OlafTheTroll)
"Sin olet purikkinp." (Finnish [I think], courtesy of MinisterLinguist)
"Ta mee skelim." (Manx, courtesy of RudieCantFail)
"(Ego) sum alienus." (Latin, courtesy of metal_ralph)
"Jag r missfoster." (Swedish, courtesy of sakita)
"Ek is 'n baie vreemd persoon." (Afrikaans, courtesy of Tersch)
"Iba ibam fribeak." ("Ubbi-Dubbi", courtesy of xaly)
(Editor's note: For those of you that have no clue what "Ubbi-Dubbi" is...remember ZOOM?)
"Saya anih." (Malay, courtesy of mingol)
And, last but not least my two favorite translations (both in French), simply because they're not attempting literal translation.
"Je suis un mordu pour PRock." (courtesy of PRockGirlScout) According to Babelfish, the translation is "I one am bitten for PRock."
And, because she felt that "I am a freak" posed no translation challenge, Kleio had this to share.
"Vous etes un bernache."
...
"You are a barnacle."
Wow, that was a lot of typing. But thanks to everybody that participated in my little experiment on a lark. It's much appreciated.
That's all for now kids, but before I go...
Camping out @my local Target for almost 12 hours has it's benefits...
That's right...betta RECOGNIZE, bitches! The rest of the day will be spent playing w/my Wii in the privacy of my own home.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.
Stay tuned...
