SID SAYS: “Everyone from New England knows the legend of Lizzie Borden.

On a hot day in August of 1892, Fallriver, MA resident Lizzie Borden was thought to have murdered her father and stepmother in cold blood. No one ever found any blood on her person, so she got away scott-free. Legend has it that she stripped naked and killed her unsuspecting parents with an axe that was never found.

Lizzie Borden took an axe.
She gave her mother forty whacks.
When she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one.

And though her mother only suffered 9 blows, and her father only 11 unlike the claim of the rhyme, Lizzie is the murderess to aspire to be... Here is my ode to her.”
