Time to walk away again.
My last day as an SG entity is August 2.
The thing I will miss most is the company of all the amazing people on my friends list. (Of course, I will still see many of the p-town peeps in the lands of real life.)
Let's stay in touch . . .

"All things are divided into the twin forces of order and chaos, forever contending for dominance. Life is something that occurs in the interface; not in the writhing discord of utter chaos, nor in the flatline perfection of pure order, but somewhere between.
It is the basis of magic: the imposition of order on formless chaos, the release of joyous chaos into the gray monotony...

I'm thinking about that a lot lately. Kinda feeling the lack of art.
Thanks! A feel better risotto would be excellent. I think once I get back up and running, I'll be devoting myself to socializing full-time again. Summer's a good time to come out of hibernation, I think.

O starisea - you always inspire & enlighten me
how powerfully you evoke the season with such vigorous delicacy -it is altogether fitting that you are inlove with sturdynobolity - there is no grander form of life than a tree
as I said I was inspired - upon reading your message I walked to the Plaza (one block away) and took these photos with my digital ... I prefer black & white, and have not that capacity digitally - with my analog Pentax I do, but it takes too long to develop. soon I will be developing my own film and doing wonderful things with it - I hope
here is what I captured
look for words on the Plaza coming soon

O starisea
I was so excited - I didn't realize that I was hijacking your journal like that
I hope you don't mind
I have made risotto once, it is time-consuming but delicious - real comfort food. I would dearly like your Pacific Northwest recipe!?!

Wow. I'm impressed at the amount of esoteric cultural overlap we seem to have: Dead Can Dance. Bill Laswell/Material. Wallace and Grommit. "R&G are Dead". Anything by Neil Gaiman. "The Lovely Bones" (an NPR darling and terribly disturbing read). Banco de Gaia (I didn't know anyone else knew about them). Tipsy. And then there's the photography....
I am VERY impressed.
P.S. I'm leaving in 5 DAYS! eeek eeek
Check your mail. I sent you a letter regarding that.

Thanks for the compliments. I share your sense of regarding the whole "friends" thing. I never know when it's the "right" time to request it. I don't want to be like someone on myspace w/ 900 friends yet talks to none of them.
Oh, and thanks for the PDX tour-guide offering. I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to lead a weary traveler around. I'm looking forward to meeting you and seeing Portand.
