So I am doing this because I promised Katella and myself that I would, I am going to start a weekly (at first) blog to talk about important things, air grievances, praise food and generally bullshit on whatever junk matters to me most at the time.
This first one is going to be more for me than for anyone else, but I wanted to set up some ground rules for myself
1. I will keep things humorous. As a basic rule humor is my main setting and as such i tend to like making people laugh. I'm not sure how well that will translate in text, but we shall see.
2. I will not harp on about how bad things can be sometimes. If you do decide to read my blog after this insanely dry opening post, there will not be a lot of "bluh bluh, life is the suxxorz!!1!" I honestly believe that life, even at its worst is too good to dwell on all the bad, I will mention that things are bad if they are but it will be more "worked sucked today, and then some guy came in with a funny hat!" than the above "bluh bluh"
3. I think that is it. My two basic guidelines for life, which upon closer inspection are pretty much the same. And I probably won't post too many pictures as I tend to think I look terrible in all of them (or very Drunk), and aside from that I am not exactly captain Chad Sexington of the USS Sexy Enterprise.
For anyone who stuck around for all that, thank you for your time and I'm sorry.
The topic on hand today is burgers, because burgers are awesome, versatile, and delicious.
There is now a place near my house called The Counter that does custom built burgers, I'm not sure if they are just a California thing but they are so good. Everything is made to order and they have almost limitless topping/sauce/cheese combinations. Everything is prepared right there in the restaurant and is very fresh. Plus they do sweet potato fries and fried dill pickles so I am pretty much in food heaven.
Now to stop sounding like an ad. Burgers are great because you can put almost anything on them and they taste good. Even a bad burger can be fixed with a liberal application of your condiment of choice, and a really good one can induce transcendental bliss, at least for me. When you get a good burger with just the right mix of toppings and a good bun to sauce ratio it just can't be beat, and the best part is finding that perfect bite in the middle where all the elements of the burger come together in harmony and unite all your tastebuds in a Hands Across America-like moment of pure joy. Or in other words... Om nom nom.
Thanks for hearing me out and I will see you next week!
I will try to have something a little more exciting next time.

As for your self-imposed guidelines, you are one of the most positive and upbeat people I know and never negative (aside from that one time when we first met, but u were entitled, lol) but everyone needs to vent sometimes. You may find that this is a good place to do that when needed. I often vent on sg and feel much better afterwards...it is YOUR blog afterall.
Now about the burgers...all I can say is OM NOM NOM. I think you need to post some sexy pics of said burgers...I'm so in to food porn. Also, u must take me there next time I'm in town (which will be soon).
