I'm leaving my teaching position.
I'm not quiting the school board but I can not remain at the school I was placed at. I am requesting to be placed on the substitute list as soon as possible.
I was placed at a segregated special ed school. I have never seen a segregated school. I thought they no longer existed & were a civil rights violation....

That's absolutely ridiculous!
I think that's proof positive right there that you are better off not working for such a horrible employer.
stgeorge:
How do you mean segregated? Boys and girls or something else?

The best thing to do when you move is to SELL EVERYTHING...and start anew. If you don't you will pay for things like this. Really, uprooting ones life should be done in a Bhuddist sort of way....Scortched earth policy rules.

I've just moved to Calgary.
I'm having some difficulty with my movers. They brought my stuff out here in July & put it into storage. I'm now in my new place & want my stuff. The moving company was supposed to deliver yesterday afternoon but they did not show up. They not returning my calls.
This is a weird situation. I've never heard of this...

I didn't go on the roller coaster at NYNY. It looked cool but I couldn't believe how much they were charging for it! The funniest thing about that casino though, is everytime I've been there it honestly is full of New Yorkers. Like they went all the way to Las vegas...to go to New York.

I've been dying for frozen custard, but no one around here sells it. I guess Gelatto would do.....

Gulp! Easy knit patterns for babies.....err no I draw a blank there, I've done a few bits and bobs but all from published patterns, I tend to do baby size now if it's technical like Kate Gilbert's Samantha sweater dress etc.

Perhaps try one of the links pages on the Net? Sorrt I can't be more helpful on this occasion tongue

You have a good list too!

I bought some really pretty hand-dyed yarn for mittens. I had it in my head I wanted matching mittens, scarf and hat. Which seems way ridiculous and over the top, but I don't care. The color is black with bits of burgundy mixed in. And I found a skein of Manos Del Uruguay in the same burgundy for the hat. Too bad its been way to hot to even handle my wool yarns, yet alone knit with them!

I want cold...right now!

Are you doing any patterning on your pair?
cdt21:
Oh no I absolutely mad detest mosquitoes. One Summer's evening I had to stay in an old Victorian hotel room with a very high ceiling in Richmond when they visited me - about 60 of the b*stards. I got not one wink of sleep and even tried sleeping in the bathtub. I squished them all in the end skull

My life? Cabaret continues unabated til at least the 16th ( Then it's on to film hopefully - maybe I'll break with my desire to meet someone nice before going on a real vacation - and go on a vacation. )

Dating still sucks....

And I have to admit so to does the new Suicide girls site look....I find it ugly to look at right now so I'm writing on my tabulas account at tabulas.com/~blue88/

I spent my long weekend in Las Vegas!
I went to the Viva Las Vegas rockabilly weekender at the Gold Coast, rode the roller coaster at New York New York, played lots of keno & slots, shopped, drank too much beer, stayed up too late & thoroughly enjoyed it!
It was also so fantastic to have 4 days of warm sunshine!!

Thanks! biggrin

Well, if you're going to be there, do you want to try "Take 2" on our plans to hang out one day? I'm going to Vancouver and Victoria in mid-June and it'd be nice to get the chance to (finally) grab a gellato, or something, with you. Vancouver is just part of the whirl-wind craziness that is summer, 2006 for me.

Last night I missed going to my friends birthday party due to yet another one of my weekend migraine headaches. These are becoming a regular occurance & leave me exhausted & feeling like crap. Needless to say, socializing was the last thing I felt like doing.

So, of course the guy I have a huge crush on was at the party.
Ok, he was there...
