Wow, I haven't updated in almost a month.

Last week I had my first jury duty experience. It was sort of uneventful, but there were some amusing things, like how everyone before me in Seat #8 was dismissed, maybe 7 people consecutively, and then I took that seat and became Juror #8. I was so sure that my truthful answers would send me back upstairs to the assembly room for another shot at getting a case, but no. I had to return the next day for the trial, but after sitting in the waiting room with the other jurors for 3 hours, we were dismissed. My duty (haha, doody!) is complete for a year.

I leave for Hawaii this coming Monday. Actually, I'll be on a plane to Oakland in the wee hours of Monday, and then that same day my mom, my sisters, and one sister's fianc hop on another plane at SFO to Hawaii. We'll return to the Bay Area on the 16th, and then I come back to Long Beach on the 18th. Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze in visits with Anja, finklestein, stare, spacecadet, and my beloved Koleeta. I miss my friends a whoooooooole lot. And I find it strange that they live 400 miles away, and yet I see them more often than I do some of you LA kids.
