Hey everyone! Sorry I've been pretty terrible about updating. I think it's been a mixture of ennui, my work schedule, and general laziness that keeps me away from here, though I do enjoy spending time on here when I actually do. I've been a pretty busy Iggy. Both of my jobs have been pretty great, especially the horse farm. That place is my respite from...

"I realized today through simple arithmetic that the cost of my psych medication and monthly doctor visits would equal about the amount needed to keep a horse where I work."  holy shit!!!  my meds would be rather expensive w/out the discount I get, but not THAT expensive!!  "Think about it this way, the late nineties produced so much crap music wise I'm surprised we didn't all die from boredom."  don't get me started!!!  "As can be predicted, it ends tragically"  I think that's an opera requirement!

I went to the march here in Greensboro. My sign said "Don't role over women's rights, disability rights, #our rights". The back which my nurse designed said, "I'm a nasty nurse!" We were quite the pair.

I got a new tattoo started yesterday. It's been in the works for a while but my friend and I finally found time to work on it last night. It's a piece of his own design based on our favorite cartoon show, The Venture Brothers.

It's not even done yet and I think I'm in love with it.

My birthday is coming soon. I remember when birthdays were exciting. Now they're something more dreary, a day to remind you of all the things you haven't accomplished yet and probably never will.

But if you're feeling so keen as to make the illustrious day of my birth a tad bit more exciting, here is a link to my wishlist.

I remember when I...

I could stand to take my own advice.

Awww, I missed your birthday.  I hope you had a great one!  Birthdays haven't really meant much to me, personally, for a number of years now.  I see too many people get worked up over them.  Life is life, and age is only a number.

I got a part time job at a horse farm!! It's kind of far and it's only part time, but I really love horses so it's definitely worth the time on the road. I'm so excited!!

Working with animals trumps working with people every time!

Still got the part-time job? Or is it a full-time job now, because of your love for horses?

May I be frank with all of you? I'm scared shitless.

Today I had an interview for what would be considered a 'big girl job'. I always loathed that phrase...'big girl job'...but that's what it would be. 9-5 Monday through Friday business casual water cooler talk day dreaming at your desk about the next vacation. I didn't think I'd make it through the first round...

Dude.    I'm sorry.  I too believe that the joining of such an entity where Mondays are a hated cliche and Fridays are to be praised as salvation only perpetuate people's misery.    It's an institution that teaches people that work is something to despise, rather than to love and in which to take pride.  All that said, while I love what I do every day, I am greatly looking forward to my next vacation.

The Monday through Friday grind. I feel that pain.

Got married!!

Actually, no chapel was involved. I'm not one for big weddings. Personally, I think they're a waste of money that one could put towards a down payment on a house or a kick ass honey moon. So Forrest and I decided on a small family and close friends gathering at Forrests parents house. There was a taco bar. Margaritas were involved. After the...

Some days it's harder to answer this question than others. I always try to remind myself that depression lies. Circumstances are temporary and sometimes our perceptions of them are too. When things get bumpy, all you can do is hold on and check if things look different when you finally come out the other side.

Good morning, you lovely people!!

In my last post I said that I would post pictures of my new home. Behold!!

Sparky is keeping a close watch on everything.

Lenny boy sleeping on the couch.

My room mate has a wonderfully eccentric style when it comes to home decor. It's so much better than any of that bland and predictable kitsch found in Target or

Sadly, my man Rand quit the race today. I could live with Ted Cruz though. Did the isidewith.com test and came up 90% agreement with Rand Paul, 83% Ted Cruz (not that it matters). Please go see someone about that Bernie aberration, he is virtually economically illiterate ;-)

Hi everybody!!

(Hi Dr. Nick!!)

So it's been a while, which is becoming the usual, unfortunately. I don't know why I've been in such a limbo. I'm here, but not totally aware. I feel like a shell of my former self. I don't feel depressed, exactly. I don't know what it is, but I haven't been as into my usual hobbies.

I'm trying to shake
