If we were sitting across a table from each other, I'd have no trouble exchanging stories, and talking about nearly everything. I just feel really pretentious writing those things down here.

The light pollution is so severe in Las Vegas, that at 2 A.M. the birds are chirping for dawn.

I'll never get over the chuckle I get when news people, talking heads, and even people involved with this "Tea Party" business refer to it's members as tea-baggers.

Not much going on. Garbage man came today, at least he left the can within 20' of my driveway. Is anyone else confuses/amused by Amazon's e-mails suggesting boods and such that some computer thinks they might like?

Built a box to go around my mother's dog's cage. She wanted something solid, so I used 5/8" plywood and 2" x 2"s. I used just about a whole tube of construction adhesive, and over 50 screws. It's one heavy SOB. I think it'd probably survive a low velocity collision with a light vehicle.

Good day today. I went to Chili's for lunch and got a Ribeye easily as good as I'd get at the Ranch House. Got a router table. Talked to my brother. All in all, a decent birthday.

I finished the shelf project. It's not as ugly as I'd anticipated. I'm still not proud of it, but it's good enough that I didn't just trash the thing.
