Well as I said before I have an answer to my question, so I will indeed post it. Obviously my companions in the room can not both be correct, but this does not mean they can't both exist since people can lie and be mistaken. Besides their words (which become obsolete if they don't exist) I have no reason to think they don't exist. So the question really is much broader: do the words of others have enough weight to trump ur senses? And actually the answer is a resounding , "no" immediately. If ur going to start disbelieving ur senses u might as well stop believing ur observing people telling u what they observe. What people tell u is subject to both the question of whether u observed them telling u correctly and if they are correct and honest in what they are saying. So I would hold that both of them existed and that they were either lying or that their senses were mistaken. I feel like doing this as an experiement now, get a bunch of people and sit them down in a room with 2 strangers each insisting the other wasn't there. It was be so funny to see how people would react. But anyway another quesiton comes to mind: is there ever a time where one shouldn't believe their senses? I spose if ur senses are contradicting each other and the only way to resolve the contradiction is to throw out some of the data u would have to make an educated descion about what to throw out. Also if a piece of observed data made it impossible to function, since the primary reason for believing ur senses was to have an existance in which to function rather than just sitting there like "I dont know anythign about my surroundings, nor do I have a way to find out, how should I act?", one could logically throw out that data. I think those are the only two logical instances. Ok Im not going to make any more promises about what I will in the future talk about, cuz talking about a topic like this needs to be more... spontaneous. Maybe its just cuz Im tired, but Im not really enjoying this line of discussion nearly as much as I was when I first posed the question, thus I will end it. Now if only I could go to sleep... lol.
