Last night with the folks and back to my happy home in the Bay tomorrow morning! I couldn't be more thrilled to get back to sleeping in my own bed (or in Mike's, whatev), having my car back, being on my own schedule.

Question: is it better to live, for only one year, in a place that you really like doing a job you really dislike, or vice versa? Assuming both pay relatively equal amounts and will be equally beneficial for your career down the road.

Home again in 5 short days! I feel like I've been gone from San Francisco for so long that it'll feel somewhat surreal to be back. I can't wait. Today I'm trying to get some school work done, but I only have a few hours before I have to make dinner for my folks. Of course, I'm procrastinating online...

Also, I've been planning a valentine's day suprise for my boyfriend Mike. I've rented us a hotel room in a nice hotel for the night, and the plan is to surprise him there, and have wine and chocolates and other goodies ready... Any other suggestions to make it fun?

I'm considering a new tattoo. I want one that says "All is Flux" in fancy script on my hip I think. Go #6! Each one I like better than the last one, and it gets easier to commit to I think. Right now the biggest deterrent is my general broke-ness. Maybe in the summer when I start making a little money.

So the dissertation proposal *should* get done today! Wish me luck!

Super excited for Sea of Dreams tonight! Nothing like face melting sub bass to get 2010 started right. This year is really starting off nicely for me. And I have a kick ass new dress.

Just looked at my "favorite suicide girls" and realized that I totally have a thing for brunettes. Although sexy redheads are pretty awesome too!
