Getting the relevant background in mathematics and logic to understand, even at a crude, simplistic level, the nature and structure of infinity and all the related realms opened up by modern set theory: difficult.
Trying to explain elementary mistakes about the infinite to students with absolutely no background in either logic or mathematics: infinitely more difficult.
The payoff though is having those one or two people who get the general idea and come at you with an excited look and just the right kind of question they should be asking.
Were it not for that, I would be inclined to cite Morissey re: looking for a job and then finding a job.
