longblackbangs likes Sarah Silverman or Emily Haines. It's sort of a tie at the moment.

Okay, so I guess some times I just come across as a sort of an asshole. I like to think of it in the David Cross sort of asshole rather than the Andrew Dice Clay sort though. With a mean case of shyness and wit dryer than a merlot hangover throat, one can't win.

Body mod comments, French Presta bike valves and speech writing. kisskissbillyboykiss... skull

Hmmm? Now they're making girls with boob jobs SGs? Wasn't that what the site was originally "rebelling" against back in the day?

Just sayin' whatever biggrin

Anyway, I just crashed my bike into a parked car at a fair rate of speed so I know not what I say.

you walk down Alameda looking at the cracks in the sidewalk
thinking about your friends
how you maintain all them in a constant state of suspense
for your own protection over their affection...

So I finally have a second to update, I guess. The last month has been crazy with summer school since one of the two classes required me to read two novels a week and write about each of them. That, in addition to the other two semester papers and yet another class, left me with little free time. Anyway, that is done and I only have one speech class this month. I am horrible with speaking to anyone, let alone a group of strangers. But the first two assignments seem cool enough; a how-to speech = talk for five minutes about screenprinting, and a Hero speech= talk about Elliott Smith for five minutes. I think I'll survive.

It seems like this is the end of the road as far as the SG account is concerned though. People on my friends list have been dropping like flys, I am too lazy to update my journal and my account runs out in a month. Long story short, I don't think I'm gonna renew.

It's been a nice two years I must say though. I meet some fuckin' amazing people here (and in some cases had the pleasure of meeting them in "real life"). I've happily wasted countless hours on here whilst causing some of my friends to question my grasp on reality skull . Smooched a Suicide Girl love . And, as of this weekend I will have a roommate to boot.

god bless the internet.

All is not lost though. I'm hopelessly addicted to myspace so if you all are on there you should add me. http://www.myspace.com/billyboy

the cold comfort of the inbetween,
a little less than a human being...

So I got an mp3 player. Finally. Yeah, I like to stay about two years behind the curve in popular trends. I still use a cassette player walkman now and again...seriously. Anyway, I've been loading ALL my cds into my computer so that means listening music I have not listen to for a while. And I must say that before all the hype the White Stripes were an awesome band. De Stijl in particular. I don't know what happened to ol' Jack, but I remember there was a reason that I used to have a homemade WhiteStripes shirt. In any case. I've gone back to listening to far to much Elliott Smith so I think I'm gonna take it back to high school for a while and listen to all my Bad Religion All Ages and Dead Kennedys Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables all in one sitting. This time around I'll try not to tell my parents off, curse out any of my teachers or tell my boss to fuck off. Hopefully whatever

You know that Mr. Plow episode of the Simpsons where they are watching the Fourth Reich Motors film and Lisa notices the crash test dummies are real people? Yeah, it's shit like that that pops into my mind in the middle of class and causes me to laugh out loud when then room is dead silent. blush tongue Ahhh, to live in my own little world.

It's l'histoire de le famile
it's l'histoire de le FAM

It's been sort of a while since I have updated, but I have an excuse. I've been running around trying to get my car back, whilst getting use to a new work schedule and starting two summer school classes. Forgive me. Then I was out of town at Dad's house this weekend for my little brother's graduation. That was fun, but I was without computer access...which, minus not getting my SG and Myspace fixes, was really nice. So here, I'm back for a sec. Hello.

I got my car back, it is in good shape and it looks like insurance is gonna reimburse me for all the towing and impound fees. I still am gonna hold a grudge against the city for being such slimy and underhanded bastards about the way they let me know they had found my car. But I am mostly thankful I have that little piece of steel with a small internal combustion engine back with me. I normally hate cars, but I think my car and I have a slight bond from all this. Maybe not. Whatever.

What else? Oh, I've got a beard going. Every month or so I make a false start a trying to grow one but just get annoyed with it. This one has passed the point of no return for me so I think I'm gonna sport it for a bit until I get bored with life and change my outward appearance thinking it will change something. It looks pretty sharp though. I'll post a pic in a bit or something.

Oh yeah, and one last thing to go with all my random comments. I went to the movies when I was back at home to see High Tension.

*Let me preface this by saying that I very rarely go see movies at the theatre (like, the last one I saw was Life Aquatic) but I am sort of a horror movie geek and heard this one was worth checking out. By geek, I mean I am a dweeb that sees horror movies to analyze them from an academic point of view. I read this book once called "Men, Women and Chainsaws" by Carol Clover which discussed how horror movies always have an element of either a powerful mother figure, a fear of the womb, a Last Girl that always destroys the sadistic male(s), or a combo of the three. Now everytime I watch one I nerd out and try to pick it apart.*

So anyway, I saw the movie and forgot what it is like to see and hear pretty hardcore gore on a big screen that you can't look away from. The past two nights I have trouble falling asleep because everytime I close my eyes I have the fear that someone is gonna come out of the darkness and saw off my head with a rusty straight razor skull Plus, between that movie and the new M83 album I have an extreme fear of the French countryside. hmmm. Maybe the fear of razors is why I got a beard going now too. Hmm I'm gonna go ponder that for a second.

I'm le tired. I'm going try to le sleep. Night...

My temp journal update:

Okay, so I tried to get on here and reply to people who have written to me, but after one entry I found that this crawling dial -up on the shit computer at my work is gonna make this take forever and only further irritate me. Since I don't really need more to piss me of at this point I'm just gonna say I'll peruse the site and reply when I can use my lovely computer at home.

ps- they did find my car but chose not to notify me by the phone...instead the police sent a letter in the mail when I was out of town? WTF?!?! The mail? Why not the pony express? It would have got here faster! SF Police Towing Services is even a worse hell than DMV. mad So just to get it out it will cost $500. Plus it doesn't even run, so god knows how much it will cost to tow it somewhere to get it driving. All because some asshole wanted to go for a spin!!!

When I got dry as a desert I got mean
I was lonely and empty as a canteen

Let's see. There has been so much excitement over the last day and a half that I can't think of a clever story to tie it all together so I am just gonna fire the two highlights at all of you gorgeous boys and girls.

1)My car got stolen on Friday night. In my very own neighborhood, on my very own street. I think it happened while I was watching a late night episode of M*A*S*H. (And not a very good episode by-the-way. It was one of the ones later in the season when the Clinger dressed in womans clothing puns had sort of been ran dry.) Anyway, I didn't realize it until Saturday morning when I walked out at the crack of dawn to go to work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get a phone call soon that they found it abandoned somewhere, in a drive-able condition with not too much "bum stink" smelling it up. This is my one week, one goddamned week out of school and work before I have to go back for more summer school...I wanted to go visit my friends and family. Now being sans a car I just want to find and maim whoever took it. But, I digrees.

2) Last night a few friends came into town and we went to see one of my all-time favorite bands. Why? Here, have a listen...Song one and Song 2 Seriously the most original/colorful/experimental/indie-pop. Songs about the city, childhood, suicide and vegan chickens. The show whole show was fucking amazing including the opening act Restiform Bodies. Why? did songs from the lead singer's other groups...songs that sound like they could only be done in the studio but they pulled them off perfectly. And, suprise-suprise, it was a sold out show of responsive and interactive folks. eeek
Amazing.

I'm gonna go and try to not think about my car for a while...billyboy kiss

Yup, I'm just sitting at work right now watching baseball with the sound off whilst listening to Bloc Party. It just now dawned on me that I missed my chance to buy tickets to see them on Tuesday before the venue sold out. frown Oh well...

"Why are you watching baseball?" This may be something your asking. Rightfully so. I pretty much hate all sports nowadays, but when I was just a little billyboy I was all about baseball. I had tons of San Diego Padres pro-fitted hats, collected baseball cards as obsessivly as I now do music, was MVP of my little league team and all that crap. So I guess it is one of the most nostalgic things I can think to be doing. You know, it reminds me of all those long summers when I would run into the house after a day of practice or riding my bike in the cul-de-sac and sit down with a plate of Hamburger Helper and a glass of Kool-Aid to watch the Simpsons (back when they were first on the air)...

...there is no particular reason for Bloc Party other than the fact that they make me a pretty happy kid. I guess if I really wanted to keep it on the childhood memory trip I would be playing Rush or Queen or something (ahhhh, A Night At The Opera. Still one of the best albums. Ever.)

so yeah,
billyboy
