SO ... my life has been crazy as of late. my health has been complete shit. however, everything else is going amazingly well! i'm getting near perfect grades in school. and my internship kicks ass.

i've been meeting some amazing people. i only wish i had more free time to spend with them!!! such is life. being responsible is sooo overrated

we're having a halloween party here tomorrow. should be fun. i love halloween. pretty much one of my favorite things, ever. tonight i'm going to be a peacock... tomorrow it's back to day of the dead/sylvia ji painting style (did a bit of that last night)...
speaking of last night...

i volunteered at a bowl-a-thon being held to fundraise for the agency i'm working with... last minute decided to enter the raffle... guess who won 1st place... $760... THIS GIRL guess who can pay rent and go grocery shopping without having to stress out... THIS GIRL

wow... it's been a while. sorry. i've been so busy with school and interning.

to be honest... at the moment i could be better. i love october. i love everything about it. however it's breast cancer awareness month and is just a constant reminder. freaking out, just a little. scared.

yet at the same time i am so friggin happy with my life. ha so up and down.

i'm going to bed.

was in the er again tues night til 3:30 am... still feeling pretty fucked up. haven't made it in to my internship in 2 days, thankfully they're pretty cool bout everything. so many plans this weekend, hoping i'm able to step it up this weekend... i'm sick of layin around. bah.

at least last weekend was successful ...

so it's been a week since my last post... and what a week it has been...
school and interning galore ...
spent 3 hrs in the er thursday night... nasty spider bite... they put me on steroids, antibiotics, and benadryl... the swellings gone down a tad but it's taken another turn for the worse... so looks like i'll be back in the er or doctor office tomorrow... bleh.
weekend was fun though got to go to the brewers game friday and saturday night. my family picked me up from the amtrak station friday, went to the game that night with them. missed them tons. saturday night went to the game w/ one of my best gal pals who i have also missed dearly... afterwards went out in milwaukee. good times, danced the pain away haha

time to finish up this lil paper for tomorrows class and come up with some lesson plans for teaching on tues and wed... oh real life... it's been a while... glad to see you're still able to kick my ass

some friends from home are coming to chicago today... plans are to go to a bar and get shitty while watching the packers (my hometeam) play the bears. i've been a bears fan for the past 5 years though... so of course i get shit from everyone back home ha. especially from my family. today should be lots of fun

so many emotions right now. i don't even know where to begin.

i started seeing someone recently... it was going amazingly. until this past week, spoke with him on wednesday, he had lost his phone... haven't heard from him since. guess i can take a hint. though i have no fucking clue what went wrong. bah, confusion.

today a guy i was with for a while back home (still remain pretty close friends) texted me letting me know that he was in the emergency room... he had had a mini-stroke today. i feel as though 24 year old males shouldn't have to worry bout such things... he said he's feeling okay but his face is numb... so, hoping for the best. he has two small daughters and is such an amazing guy and father... can't stop thinking about him.

school starts tomorrow. i am so anxious. i'm excited to meet the other msw students and nervous all at the same time. new school. new city. new professors. new networks. craziness.
good news is i only have classes on mondays and tuesdays with the occasional saturday seminars. the trimester doesn't technically start til wed so i won't have any regular classes this week. just a small orientation thing tomorrow morning. should be a nice way to ease into things...

i think i'm going to try mediating before bed tonight... i've been having such a hard time clearing my mind lately. i just need to reach a place of calm. and breathe. sigh.
i also need some more ink... i miss the feeling of the needle against my skin...
