Yeah, shit... sorry to hear you're sick. I just got over some kind of gombu, but am not looking fwd to the shit that comes through town during the Sundance Film Festival in late January-- I nearly always get sick as a dog in early Feb. Will try to rest up and get healthy in preparation.

i have been totally unmotivated to read or do anything intellectual at all lately. i guess dance and work zapped me out.
i visited chicago two summers ago- driving up from memphis. what a boring drive! but i got into chicago at midnight and ended up lost in some crazy neighborhood. people were hollering in the street and i nearly hit a man running around in his bathrobe.
i moped in my journal a bunch- kinda pathetic but theraputic nonetheless.

i am reading an amazing book, Poetics of Space by Bachelard. it's an amazing text about the home and location, especially everyday space. i've been a little resistant to phenomenology and critical theory, except for a few notable exceptions (merleau-ponty and blanchot) but this is a warm, lovely philosophy of experience and architechture. nice for these times.
