I finally rejoined the site damn near a year after my membership lapsed. I thought it was only going to be for a few weeks, but things snowballed into a downright strange run of bad luck. First the front driver-side wheel on my truck snapped off, then a close friend of mine died. At his funeral, his unbelievably selfish drug-addict of a mother tried to start a fight fight with the mother of his kid IN FRONT OF HIS COFFIN! In a movie that is funny, but in real life, the only word I had was "surreal". I flunked most of my classes from to missing too many classes due to a lack of transportation. I actually had to take out school loans just to get by. A little while later (in the same semester) a car crashed into my bedroom while I was in bed. It would've been a lot worse, but they also hit the bathroom and the ajoining wall acted as brace keeping the car from going completely through the wall. It still threw me out of my bed, and compressed my neck a bit, but no serious injuries. However, they hauled ass out of there, and no one ever found out who did it. The apartment complex my roommate and I live in gave us the key to the model apt to use until they made the repairs, which was nice but created a strange set of difficutlies of having to live in both apts at once.(one had no kitchen, and the other had no bathroom). Then my lesbian roommate's quasi-girlfriend ripped us both off of a lot of our stuff and took off out of state. This whole year has been a nice little slice of hell. Things are going a lot better now though. I'm back on top of things for the moment, taking care of most of my debts(not financial aid/school loans yet though), and finally have some reliable transportation. I just hope this forward momentum keeps up!
