If you're ever up on Mt. Baldy (CA) make sure you visit the Buck Horn Tavern. I was blessed enough to see this down-home country band playing there. Never got the band's name but the lead guitarist looks like SantaClaus and plays like the devil. He smiled the most perfect rectangular smile the entire time he played (especially when the girls were dancing). They had to drag me outta there. This was the night of my old (but hopefully future) drummer's wedding. It was about 65-70 degrees that day and sunny but there were streams of snow-melt around us that were ice-cold.

Not unlike Led Zeppelin I'm going to California. Not with an aching in my heart though. So that's good.

This is momentous. I'll be witnessing Stravinsky and Bartok 3 days in a row starting today. Me thinks I'm going to come out of this a changed man.
