See? I knew I'd never keep up with this thing.
Well I still haven't heard back from any law schools. That isn't surprising, given that the application deadline isn't until the week after next and their deadline for responding is April f'n 30th. I've got forever to wait!!
But I'm passing the time quickly by completely shirking my duties at work. Once I realized I was not only not destined to be a computer programmer, but was quitting in 7 months and would never come back to this institution I just lost all sembalance of motivation. I get to my office, pop open my Civil Procedure primer and start reading and doing exercises. I plan to be ready for law school long before I get there.
I think my preparations are going well so far. After finishing Planet Law School which I mentioned somewhere down there, I started in on Learning Legal Reasoning and now, as I mentioned, have moved on to Civil Procedure. After that is Torts, then Contracts, then Criminal Law. I'm looking forward to all of it.
For the first time I'm actually enthusiastic about school. Computer Science was always just a job - this will be a career. And if I do good, we're talking well into the 6 figures before I even have a chance to take off the graduation robe.
The potential for material comforts may not be my primary motivation, but it seems silly to ignore it just because it might make me look greedy
