Soooo jealous about your camping trips. Where in KY are you moving to? Do you "just" do shoeing, or have you done guiding, too? ("just" is in quotes there b/c shoeing isn't something you say "just" about!) After going to that dude ranch, I was seriously thinking about quitting my job and working on a ranch. I even checked out this Guide School. But it would mean a major career/life change, so I dunno. Whatever the case, I definitely need more horse in my life. I had been getting my horse fix with a weekly lesson, but obviously that just wasn't enough . . . so I'm starting to lease a horse where I ride Oct. 1. Hopefully that will help!

I wouldn't ever judge, its not my place. I do understand your story of the friend shitting in the woods to help his/her dog come home. Yes, my boy is my pit. The first pit I ever owned was actually my bf's and mine, but we broke up a few months ago, then I ended up getting duke by pure spiritual intervening. I love pits more than anything and am planning on getting property, building a house, and fostering them. I can totally see the place with 20 pits running around inside! that would be so awesome! Thank you for your prayers, I appreciate them. and they worked! I found duke at the pound a week or so later. He picked up kennel cough while he was there, but that's all that's wrong with him, so I'm happy.

divine intervention is what brought him to me in the first place. I was supposed to watch him for a while until a friend's boyfriend could get a place where he could have him, and when they brought him to me, they told me he was now my dog. He is pretty much over his kennel cough, but not before he gave it to the dogs outside. Which makes me feel bad, because a friend and his parents are letting me stay here, and then I come and get their dogs sick. But I'm so glad that my dog is home...He means more to me than anything.

I'm stuck in this town too. I take it from your post that you can't find interesting people in this area either?
