Hello all!
I have all my reading mapped out for September through November because I am borderline OCD. Here it is:
A la recherche du temps perdu Proust (this counts as 6 says me)
Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World Haruki Murakami
Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife Mary Roach
Dog Years Gunter Grass
A Fine Balance Rohinton Mistry
The Fuck-Up Arthur Nersesian
The System of the World Neal Stephenson (swoon)
So, I am looking for recommendations for December. Specifically, I want to read SHORT books (200 pages or fewer) since the above listed are all kind of chunky. Fiction or non, either is fine. No David Sedaris or Dave Eggers please. Those guys should be melted with the sun getting superhuge because a comet from outer space plowed through all the outer planets and then went into the sun which then destroyed Mercury and Venus as it expanded. Fortunately, I stole the final attack-revive materia from those guys so once they melt, they're gone for good.
Ahem. Let's see those suggestions start rolling in.
