Sooo... me and the girl broke up yesterday.

Just wasn't working. There's a lot I can say, none necessarily negative. Just that... man we were two very different people.

Maybe I'll talk about it more, but right now i'm tired from getting home from seeing Lamb of God.

Back on the market, ladies.... WHAT UP

Man it's been awhile since I updated... apologies. Not that I think many/any people give a shit about what's going on with me. And I don't mean that from an emo "NO ONE LIKES ME" way, just... who the fuck am I? Just some dude.

Anyways: things that have been going on in my life!

1) I went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg with a friend of mine. And thus you get awesome pictures like these:

2) I bought a FUCKING HOUSE!! WTF!!! So adult of me.... It looks something like this:

this is where I nap everyday.... so comfy....

No, I know...I forgot to take a picture of the front of the house. The top two were taken before I moved in. If people care I can maybe run around and take pictures of what it looks like now that I've furnished it and made it my own.

One thing - Since buying a house, I find I drink alone much more often.... odd.

3) Band had another show. It went pretty well. Especially the part where Gary kicked over his entire amp rig and broke his cabinet so we had to have his brother run on stage and hold it all up for the rest of the show. Sooooo metal tongue

Here's a picture a friend took of me sitting in the band's trailer waiting to take the stage:

I actually look like women would like me in this picture! Oh the magic of photo editing....

4) Just the other week my best friend since college, ex girlfriend, and woman I've still been very much in love with ever since I met her - her father died. He had been battling esophageal cancer and things took a turn for the worse. I flew in to Texas to be with her and her mom because the doctors said he wasn't doing well and I wanted to see him (I hadn't seen him in a few years). He literally went into failure 5 minutes after I walked through the door... I stayed there and watched a man whom I considered to be a role model die before me. I stayed for the week and helped plan the funeral, take care of the house, and take care of my friend and her mom. Sadly I eventually had to come home and return to work, they're still there and struggling with the aftermath of the loss. I feel shitty because all I want to do is still be there and I can't be....

5) I'm writing a fucking BOOK! Sorta... I suck at keeping up with it...

Man it's been MONTHS since I've updated. Lot to talk about. Really... like... a LOT.

But I just don't have it in me to sit down and type it all out right now.

I'm around, alive. I promise. I lurk here and there. I read your blogs even if I'm not commenting. And I'm in my usual groups lurking around as well.

I do think about all you lovely people here whom I adore so much and am sad that I am not sharing as much right now as usual.

So... I've attempted to make at least SOME amends. Since it is difficult for me to keep up with this blog, i've created a way for those of you who care to still keep up with me as YOU see fit.

Skype. I've created an account. Happy to chat. Happy to video. Whatevs. My name is ilooklikesatan, just like here. I'm using it predominantly for SG people, so feel special biggrin

If we're totally kick ass SG friends I hope this is a way you feel we can stay in touch. If we're not totally kick ass SG friends and you'd like to be... I hope this facilitates that.

If you're a sexy lady who just likes to get naked while I watch... well... awesome, where have you been all my life? Get the hell on Skype. K... later SG! Love ya!

Copied from my Facebook note....

It is impossible for every two people to see eye to eye, to accept the decisions the other has made in life. But it is imperative that we teach the future leaders of this and all nations the importance of allowing such differences to exist. Social and political infrastructures must maintain an open stance such that people of all walks of life - races, religions, sexualities, cultures, creeds, etc - are able to develop communities that can be simultaneously be self-supporting and externally protected in so far that their existence does not themselves infringe on any other community's ability to properly function as equals.

As today is Spirit Day in honor of unfortunate young souls who have taken their life due to excessive bullying by their peers; I think it is important to not only speak up in favor of equality, but of in support of responsibility each generation has to properly set an example to the next. The youth will inherit the earth. Most importantly they will inherit all of the social and moral stigmas we salt the earth with. There is a difference between teaching your child to follow the same belief structure as you and another to teach them that they have the right to strip the dignity from anyone who may think differently than them. The responsibilty falls as much on our shoulders as parents, friends, family members, teachers, and potential role models for the lives of these children as those who directly bullied them. Because it was one of us that taught them it was ok.

In our schools there is a war being waged. It is a war for survival. It is a war for sameness and tradition. Long standing ideas are being challenged by the outspoken existence of those who threaten to bring about change. Revolution is the hidden message of every man or woman who raises a rainbow flag or brands their car with an equal sign whether straight, bi, or gay. It is the same revolution that errupted after the Boston Tea Party. It is the same revoultion fought by Rosa Parks. It is the same revolution which gave our daughters the right to vote. Without those who would shatter the blinders of tradition we would not see the world as round, nor would we understand molecular sciences. And just like with any revolution there will be those who do not wish to brave the great unknown that lies ahead and will fight back tooth and nail to disparage any hope of reform, often silencing any opposition before it's voice can join in the rally cry.

For equality and change to blossom our revolution must not mirror the opposition. We can not attack, bare our claws, or gnash our teeth. As with today we must stand unified and support each other, while simultaneously offering the acceptance to those who deny it to us. And by "us" I mean human beings who support respect and equality regardless of topic, not just those who are part of the LGBT label. Change and social progress should be the endeavor of all enlightened human beings, not just the oppressed.

Feel free to like and share with friends whether you agree or disagree with me.
