I finally had a beautiful quasi transient day in santa cruz!
I went to class, as to be expected. I headed off downtown to see the kelly bluebook price for my truck (which i'm looking to sell). I then proceeded to find a beauty supply store and bought red and orange hair color. Muahaha, surprise!
After this I was still walking in search of a "yarn barn" which I never found. I'm still on the look for black and white yarn to make a hat for this girl from livejournal. She actually wants to pay me for a hat. Yes please!
I walked around the town until I found a bar that i had previously visited with SG members. After some drinks I decided to add some whole food to my diet until I ran into a homeless man named Jesse that told me he used to work for Seagate. Quite the conversation about electronics. I felt 15 all over again.
After talking to him my friend's boyfriend showed up and we talked about all his travels through Morooco and Europe. Fascinating fellow. I couldn't let him skate back so we drove to his girls' place and played Apples to Apples. I won, weehee.
After that fun game I ousted, saying hello to friends from the bar I was staying at previously to assure them I was alright. I didn't stay because I felt kind of... singular. The place had been packed with all sorts of people I had never met. I guess the sheer numbes scared me. I like smaller groups.
After this I headed to, yet again, another bar. Blue Lagoon for some goth night dancing. I danced from 12 to 1:30 then headed to the red room for a shot of vodka and even more conversation. I probably talked to about 20 people all night.
This moment of friendliness and utter joy is brought to you by my friend Ickabod that advised I park my car somwhere and walk around meeting people. Well it worked. I never want to drive again ^_^
