OK.. I watched Princess Di get married while I was at work; HOW many years ago?? I watched the OJ chase Live.. Saw the Branch Divedion Compound burn down Live. Saw the two body-armored bank robbers get shot down live........ So.... Fuck Yes.. I'm all in for this too... W H A T ??????
I just added a thing to the "Drunks" Board. I thought it was pretty cool.
My truck's stand-by is getting moved from our House at Engine 20 to the Cop Shop down at the end of Douglas Blvd. I am SO sad. Not that the Cops are bad people to hang around with..... but let's face it..... It ain't a Fire station.
I work with cops And fire in my job. I love and admire both. But; no offense.... We work better with Fire.
Cops are their own thing.
I have so very much learned about Cops since starting this job. And lemme tell ya.... they ain't nothing like I thought they were before.
99% of the people I'd have beat the shit out of and thrown into the back of my car... they just let 'em roll on.
I freely admit that I personally don't have the gear to be in Law Enforcement......
I am so much more comfortable being in the fire side......
Hopefully; Our move will be temporary. I really want to be back hanging out in the Fire Station......

I have once again made it home to Springfiled.. and all the family are still here and in good health....
I hope that all have the same family support system I have... the great good luck to have people who care and love you.
I think that if you offered me a winning lotto ticket... or the life I've had.. it'd be the life I've had.
But... I know that some don't. That I in fact; do have a more lucky life than some others I've heard speak of theirs..... This is NOT lost on me. But; for what it's worth.. I send my hopes to you. I wish you the same..
Family, love, care, connection....be yours too....
I just lost my Great Aunt very early this AM. She was 83; and had lived a great long life...on her OWN terms.... and had truthfully; just ran out of gas..... She knew it; she accepted it; and she had managed to stay her course til the very end. My only hope is that she felt that she was still loved and thought fondley of by her people...I hope we showed her our love. Godspeed Katheryn....
The farm Lanhams(some of 'em) are gonna come up tomorow and have Christmas dinner with the "city" lanhams. (Thats especially funny if you actually KNOW what kind of "city" Springfield is....) and we will once again reconnect and feel the kin that the land gave us. So, once again..family will reign supreme.....
So, having recounted, and wished, and thanked....

Added some new pix to the condo album. Am moving in in 2 days. Will post a bunch of new pix then.
New Condo.. and a new album with some initial pix in it. My new place.... take possession on Oct 4-5th. They're still doing the painting and cleaning obviously. I am AMPED outta my mind ! ! !! Will update the pix as things happen and I get moved in..... will take decorating suggestions from anyone who cares to offer them.. as my own taste level is somewhat dubious on these matters...... 
HOW ABOUT THAT VIEW ? ? ? ? ? And yes.. thats my ambulance 11 floors down, as I stopped by on a brief lull in work one day when I was in the neighborhood.
Cant wait to get some furniture in there... and my squeeky new 50 inch 1080p plasma with blu-ray DVD throw in... curtosey of Best Buy and a nice little sale they wer running last week.....

BTW... they're gonna buy out the Economy Inn people and convert those to long term rentals of a wee bit higher quality clientelle.........
