Welp, turns out I'm pretty awful at keeping a blog. So let's recap what's been going on for the past year or so, shall we?
Quit my job at the print shop to go back to school for a year, a 3D animation program. Turns out it was EXACTLY what I needed - time to work on my portfolio, put together a demo reel, and get a shit ton of practice in.

Finished the 3D course and am (unsuccessfully) trying to find work as a digital artist/3D animator here in DC.
My father died at the end of June. It wasn't totally sudden - he was diagnosed with a degenerative brain disease in October of last year. But still figuring out exactly how to deal with that.
Pretty much ruined two relationships, leaving me and one of the other parties involved somewhat heartbroken.
Went to Mexico for a week and helped build a school. It put a few things in perspective. Also on the way back, sort of fell in love with San Diego. I've been threatening to move to California for several years now, so maybe now, with my life completely open to possibility, it might actually happen.
And that is my life in the last year or so in a nutshell! Hopefully I'll actually keep up with this blog this time....
