so I went to New Hampshire for the primaries, it was a pretty awesome experience. I volunteered for Obama with a couple of my buddies who are all Iraq war vets. We did some house to house stuff, a little of bit of visibility (holding signs) and also met tons of folks. We hung out with some Texas state senate staffers, an NFL player, and met lots of media types - Tim Russert, Chris Matthews, Shepard Smith from Fox News (who is actually a really cool guy), Dennis Kucinich's wife, who is a hot 25 year old English lady, and so on.
The energy in Manchester, where we were, was awesome. Unfortunately Obama lost, which was a surprise to everybody because he was up by about 10 points in all the polls, but we met a lot of cool folks nonetheless. I encourage everybody to get involved with a campaign, even a little - it helps.
