I've been doing dishes all evening I'm tired and bleeding (always fun) and I just spent money I'm not allowed to spend... I keep hearing booms in the distance, but everyone tells me their is nothing to worry about. I'm not allowed to leave the walled area so this place is like a prison... fuck this dusty country up the ass.

The Brits get to race camels? That is so unfair! And I know what you mean about gettin laid. It's been almost a year for me. I refuse to hook up with military chicks. Most of them have already been with at least 20 guys. I'm not into one nighters anyways. Well, keep safe out there. You got stationed at a much more dangerous post than me.

Getting to "see the world" was misleading then, in the recruiting ads? Yeah, it sucks being cooped up anywhere, but much more so when so much is going on "out there" and "out there" is so close. Be strong, and rattle the pots and pans louder.

My brother's over in Afghanistan too. He's with the Canadian battle group that showed up in February. He's a signalman named Greg O'Neil.

He was telling me that even though there were thousands of soldiers at the base, it kind of has a small town feel to it... I was wondering if you might have met him.

Just got home from Iraq not long ago. I actually didnt spend much time inside those walls which for me was a blessing no matter what happened. I sympathize actually. NOt being stuck inside was worth dieing for. Are you military/contractor or other?
