Leila got Zoom tooth whitening for Christmas from her mother. She went to the dentist today to get it done. Apparently the chemical they put on your teeth burned so much she couldn't finish the whole procedure. She walked home crying and never told her mother what happened. She texted me later and told me how upset she was and how nothing she is ever excited about ever works out like she plans. I tried to cheer her up by telling her that things will get better and that sometime things don't work out but these troubles can be solved (troubles like tooth whitening not going well, pictures on her camera not coming out, etc.). That only seemed to piss her off more "Life sucks when the excitment about it is back up by false hope" she sent me and then "Goodnight",

I happened to go to the dentist this morning too. The periodontist told me that I had severe gum recession and I need to get gum grafts to repair them. I only needed them on 4 teeth and he said the procedure would only take 45 minutes or so but it would cost me $4000. I don't have $4000. He told me if I didn't get the procedure done those teeth would eventually get infected and fall out. I don't know what to do. My insurance only pays $1000 a year (the whole procedure costs $5000).

Later on I texted Leila again. Here is some of the conversation that ensued:

Me: "You're right. Things suck. You may have spots on your teeth but if I don't come up with 4 thousand dollars my teeth are gonna faill out"

Leila: "I don't have spots on my teeth. And yeah that sucks for you."
Leila: "You better invest in dentures. My teeth won't be perfect but their going toget closer and closet to it in the next 2 weeks, and they are already whiter today so"
Leila: "Maybe you'll know how it feels to be the insecure one of those with your soon to be dentured teeth and ill be content lying to you assuring you nobody notices.
Leila: "Just like you have been saying to me"

Me: "Why are you so mean?"

Leila: "Instead u fight back with your cruel comments which in i do not appreciate. But maybe you would appreciate it, so i fired back and now you feel burned."
Leila: "I'm so cold because you've burnt me out. As it seems im doing to you. Great."

Me: "I think you are the one being too sensitive. I'm fine with how my teeth look. I'm not fine with you using them to try to hurt me."
Me: "My comment wasn't meant to be cruel. You were getting your teeth whitened so I assumed there was a reason. I'm not saying I think you need it."
Me: "I'm not going to say you don't need it because that would piss you off too."

Leila: "Id prefer no more texts. I'm trying to sleep"

Me: "I'm done anyways. Get some sleep. Tomorrow will be better. Goodnight"

Leila: "I'm deleting your texts without reading them so i dont get angry or hurt, since nothing can be done really. So theres really no use of continuing to text."
Leila: "Because you won't be heard. You can call for now on. My eyes will not hear you."
