I got Throbbing Gristle tix for the San Francisco show...fin de siecle! I was at the last one in 1981, it should be amazing to see the TG crew live once more. When they did the show at Camber Shores a couple of years ago, I held my breath, fearing that they'd aged out and lost the threads they'd wove together, but no. A friend was at that show, and he reported they'd not lost a thing, gained by age and equipment, and seemed to be enjoying each others' company. Later I saw the film of that show, ecstatic presence, amazing synthesis, all still together. The mission resumed.
But as my kid said, No one wants to see Gen's bare midriff. *laughs* More power to him, I say.
