I was reminded of these lines recently... they're possibly my favourite 2 lines of English verse. I'm sure everybody already knows them, but anyway...

Those 2 lines you mentioned above are one of my favorites as well -- probably only second to a particular verse in Milton's Paradise Lost that I absolutely adore.
