I was feeling awful most of the day today. I was anticipating a long, lonely weekend, again. I needed to reach out to someone very badly. Yet, I didn't want to be a burden to people, especially feeling that most everyone had holiday plans that they were looking forward to.

I knew my daughters were both going to be busy with friends and family, so...

It looks like sunny days ahead.
I hope that the change in the weather also brings you some better times smile
Stay strong. Best wishes.
luky:
All your friends here have said it for me. You're in my thoughts, and I am wishing for far better times for you. Hang strong and tough--I know it isn't easy.

I know what I miss most about Annette. It's the feeling that I had when she hugged me. I'd give anything to hold her in my arms just one more time.

I feel so alone.

As I mentioned in my last blog, my daughter, Ellen, was going to be in New York for a wedding this past weekend, and was going to be with me and her sister, Heather, for Father's Day.

I originally thought the wedding was Saturday. I found out last Thursday that the wedding was actually on Sunday, Father's Day. Original plans had to be scrapped. The...

I totally agree with you that MJ parents should have been at least asked a few questions.

I lived in the Bronx until I was 5. So from 1970 to 1975 lived someplace called "The Surry," I think. It may have been on Tilden Street. Were we there at the same time and how far were we from each othet? I bet you met me when I was little!

They take the big ass payout, then fuck over all of their customers. That makes sense surreal

My family is on their way home to North Carolina. I spent lots of time with my grandkids, which was really nice. They've both gotten so big since the last time I saw them in person. It sure beats the webcam by about a thousand percent.

My daughter, Ellen, will be back here next weekend. She's attending the wedding of one of her oldest friends...

You're not leaving, are you? Sorry I haven't been around much; it's been a very long month, in more ways than one....
grayb:
My weekend was wet but wonderful. I hope that you had a great one as well.

I want to recognize the wonderful people that I've met and gotten to know here. I'll try to limit my comments to one line and will go in alphabetical order. This format will apply, with the exception of one person for whom I'll save my comments for the end. Most of you will understand why I'm making this exception when you get to the end...

It's one thing when you are discussing or trying to work out a real issue with a good friend. What I was really trying to address is when someone has some negative agenda in approaching you and starting a dialogue about a mutual friend.

Talking about a real problem with a good friend (even if it involves a mutual friend) is fine just not that petty, manipulative stuff. I would have gone on but the blog was long enough.

I've got alot to look forward to in June. My daughter Ellen, her husband, and my grandkids are coming to New York for five days on June 11th for a friend's wedding. I haven't seen them in person for too long. I can't wait to play with my grandchildren as well as spend time with everyone, including my younger daughter Heather all at the same...

Especially if it has anything to do with my son. I am the quintessential protective father.

Knowing that I'm going to be banging my head against a wall,
makes doing so tolerable and the relief when finished, sweeter.

I want to thank everyone who responded so wonderfully to my last blog. I kept it up longer than any other I've ever posted. It was very emotional for me to write. I was glad that I could put a positive take on something that has affected me so terribly. I'm grateful that I was able to talk about Annette in a celebratory manner instead...

Yeah, my sister-in-law's boss is opening a brewery, so I can be a waitress there. Hopefully it's better money than what I'm doing now.

Mother's day is this coming Sunday. Thanks to the inspiration I've drawn from my friend Sherrillee, I've decided to post the following.

While the passing of my mom in 2003 at the ripe old age of 91was sad, I'm comforted that she lived a long and full life. What I wanted to use this occasion for is to pay tribute to another mom that...

What a lovely tribute of Annette - Now that's exactly what I was talking about!

You are a lucky man to hav expereinced that kind of relationship. But that doesn't mean that you won't find another equally as satisfying in a different way.

There's hope for you yet!

Keep the faith! kiss

Now for a completely different blog from all my others.

I haven't had a truly satisfying sexual experience since April--------2008. I even remember the date. It was April 11th. That doesn't mean I haven't had sex since then. I have, dozens of times. Unfortunately, those ocassions left alot to be desired.

i'm almost 62 years old and have the same desires and passions as I...

Hey, I'll be fine... HeathenUK called it - I'm just getting it off my chest. A few bumps on the road.

How are you doing? You sure sound happier, but, any progress? I'm waiting and hoping to hear some good news from you!!
lolablu:
This is a beautiful post, and you're both so happy in your wedding picture.

My daughter Heather and I were supposed to meet for a late lunch and then hang out for a while yesterday. She called and told me to be ready to go out about 2:00pm. Well, to my total surprise, when she drove up, I saw that my other daughter Ellen was in the car with her.

I had no idea that Ellen was coming into...

I consider myself very fortunate. I love the city (I should say The City) smile I love the country. I revel in crowds yet cherish my times of solitude. It works well for me - most of the time.

I sent your PM to my Kindle. I'm looking forward to finding a nice quiet, sunny place a bit later today and having an enjoyable read! There's actually a bench out if sight in the foreground of the second photo - that may be the spot!

I know that Saturdays are not easy for you. I hope that you find something to do today that will bring you pleasure. Be well... and happy.
grayb:
I couldn't wait. I went ahead and read it. I'd love to read more.

I bought, read and enjoyed nearly every "banned" book that I could find back in my teen years. They obviously helped to mold what I've become and what I've come to enjoy, both in reading and in life. I'm a fan of nearly everything, with the notable exceptions of scatology and snuff.

People should be free to read and enjoy whatever they wish, as long as their pursuits do not infringe upon the rights and pleasures of others.
