Yesterday and today have yielded some measures of iPod resolution... It's back to working. I trotted to Best Buy and chatted up the Geek Squad tech peon who has gotten to know me by sight...both a good and a bad thing. We put our heads together and revived my White Rectangle by performing a reformatting on another computer. I got it back home and it's been behaving "for the most part". The qualifyer is when I first connected the Pod to my Dell, it handed me 2-3 Blue Screens o' Death for seemingly no reason.
It seems that part of the problem I've been having is iTunes isolated. It's sad for I actually like the program, its functionality and how much free music I seems to get through Steve Jobs and Pepsi. For the past month, I haven't been able to use it for anything other than loading up my Pod - Any music played within the program skips like a ten-year old in pigtails. So, I've changed programs.
WinAmp I've dillied with for they have gobs of streamable contents plus, the ability to make playlists out of streaming music videos! I downloaded the iPod plug-in and have successfully loaded her up again.
The other project I've jumped into is catching up on Poscasting through iPodder.org. My Pump Up The Volume-inspired minor broadcast fetish has been appeased through lots of configuring, daydreaming about an SG-based venture and listening to back episodes of The Dawn and Drew Show. A 20/20 hindsight notion...I love talk radio, I hate radio commercials and on-air funding drive even more. Friends, I have have something for my commute other than feeding my faux-crush on Snigdha Prakash, which pronounced on-air sounds like "Snick Paprikash.
In other snowy day news, I made another batch of my cayenne pepper-included hot cocoa mix thoughtfully stolen from Alton Brown from Good Eats fame. It's one of the only reasons why I wish I had fucking cable! *shakes fist in air* I think AlienPrincess and I have settled on ordering out for pizza rather tredging out in the snow for groceries and my ultimately having to wash a third load of dishes today.
