Day off #3 of Pre-vacation vacation. Poor Elbereth had her single day off and heads back to work. She has picked up extra days in her normally light schedule so, we can no longer make fun of her for just working weekends. 
Today my small objective is getting some menial typing stuff done for work... I have to add a section to a report due and generate meeting minutes to a meeting that never took place. Shhh...We don't have to tell anyone.
The culinary school discussion raised a brainstorming session between El. & myself... As much as I feel like a loser for not having earned my Bachleor's, it's the first time in my life where a future job position demands it. Oooooh...big grown-up moment. Seriously, most of my positions in the past have come through starting at an entry-level postition and wowing the higher-ups in my ability to lead, get work done on time, never show up late, etc. All the qualities I would demand of someone I hire, I first try to be in spades. The 'putting my money where my mouth is' quotient has earned me positions where the recommendation of a BA or BS normally exists.
My agency wants to put me on the relative fast-track through the promotional ladder towards becoming a group home manager. It's something I already do quite well but again, to technically qualify, BA or BS. So, I've been reconsidering in which direction to apply myself...I smell Psychology. Perhaps that's just what's on the stove.

Fortunately I have not had to face the get a degree or you can't go any further dilemna for a career yet which is good.
But I just can't get motivated to go back preemptively and prevent it.
I would say it will likely turn into a good thing to have your hand forced to get it done.
