Great day overall! Headed into work earlier than I'd care but, hey...it worked out well. On Wednesday, I have some ability to dictate my hours. They're something akin to a professor's office hours...a planned place and time where one can expect to find someone where they're most likely shuffling paperwork. The plan was to be at work hours earlier to leave hours earlier and meet Buddha, King_Of_Skulls & the ever lovely AlienPrincess.
The main snags were two meetings...a huddle and a job performance review. The huddle turned out to be drawn out by another teacher on-staff who has the tendency to solve problems by unwittingly create them in the first place and then, point out a solution to something he observed. My manager and I decided to intercede this time, much to his befuddlement & defensiveness.
The performance review just reaffirmed something I already knew...I rock at my job.
This afternoon the coffee hook-up went off as planned and we ended up happily hosting the local chunk of SGCT in our apartment. The Princess was able to put animated faces with names & understand my enthusiasm in retelling stories of these folk. Thanks all!

let me know if you would like the "My Squelchy Life" tracks...there are 3 that haven't turned up anywhere, as far as I know: "Tutti Forgetti", "Harness" & "Everybody's Mother", a song that I need to do a cover of someday, if I can figure out all of the lyrics. I got them on a promo advance cassette of the album that never came out!
