Spent most of the weekend hanging out with friends in some form or another. Melanie came down to hang out and we went with my roommates and one of their cousins and family to our local "90 billionty beers on tap" bar that is just a mile or three down the road to celebrate some birthdays. They sang karaoke. One of my roommates and her family are actually a family of singers and musicians so it's a joy to watch/hear them sing. Stayed up until all hours drinking and talking and just having a good time. Sunday was incredibly beautiful, up into the high 70s temp-wise and cloudless skies. I took the motorcycle out and met up with an old buddy and we drove around some backroads...farm to market roads, two lane twisty asphalt roads shaded with trees that ran past ranches and homesteads outside of town...put about 100 miles all told under the wheels. Wish I had taken my camera with me but then I would have been stopping too often and breaking up the ride to take photos. But there's a real joy in looking up and seeing one of those "30mph" diamond road signs with the twisty arrow above it on a clear and warm day.
of course now it's the work week again and the weather has gone to crap. 30 degrees and freezing rain to turn to a mix of slush and possibly even snow later....but at least it waited until the work week.
crazy Texas weather....within 24 hours we go from warm and sunny to freezing rain. I can hear it hitting my window.

The slushy stuff is getting old here, too. I'm so ready for spring, even cold spring. I just want to see things budding again and feel like summer's actually going to happen. Snow is pretty but it's been gross lately.
The more you describe your living situation, the more it sounds like a set-up for a porn flick. Passionate lesbians living with a motorcycle-riding Marine...it writes itself. I'm kidding. But yes, you must be sure to include whatever housework you find yourself doing (especially if you do it well) on your romantic CV. It's useful knowledge.
