silveronthetree:
hello,

Looked at your site, read a couple of poems and liked them. Also looked at your thoughts bit and am in total sympathy with you regarding your hospital endevours.

I am wondering if the NHS was just a big mistake.

I think I need to talk to you about why you are seeking help. It might help somone i know. If you can be bothered, e-mail me. If not I`ll e-mail you.

Anyway you sound like the sort person I usually like, and I get a very honest feel from you.

So if you want someone else other than your other half to moan about shit to, I humbly offer my services.

All the best

Well, I see my last post went down like a lead-weight. I shall never mention Mary-Kate again. blush

Wait, I didn't see it, I was away. Plus, I don't have a telly so I don't really know who they are. I agree they'r efucked up, if that helps.

Also, should "[Wo]man is born free and s[he] is everywhere in chains" be changed to "[Wo]man is born free and [s]he is everywhere in chains" ? smile

Love the pic. You obviously know how gorgeous you are, don't you my friend? And I think I'll take you up on that offer and explain to you in private a bit more on my current situation, being you understand me so well. I really appreciate your support. You are atomically the bomb my friend. I'd be lost without you E. Enjoy your night, right on.

Hi everyone!

I had a great weekend. Went out for a fantastic Indian meal on Saturday night and then spent the rest of the time messing around with my website. One day, I might even do the whole FTP thing, lol.

Still nothing to contribute on the Bill Bryson front?

huzzah for great weekends!! biggrin

Bill Bryson--- great travel writer. my favourite book of his, though, is Mother Tongue, which is a (light-hearted) history of the English language. In terms of travel, I really enjoyed "Neither Here Nor There", probably because I did the whole interrailing thing as well biggrin

I was given "A Short History of Nearly Everything" at Christmas, but I haven't read it yet--- the hardback version looks kind of intimidating tongue i'll probably end up buying the paperback version just so i'll actually read it--- i'm sure it's very good!!

take care pisto xoxo

Hi, thanks for the comment. I haven't had the pic long but it's growing on me.

Bill Bryson - I read Notes from a Small Island many years ago and didn't really like it. A friend was raving about it and made me read it but nope, just didn't get it.

How come there's no link to this site of your in your profile? I'd like to see it.

Cheers

Had a lovely day yest, thelizardking, you were right. Just spent the afternoon chatting (read: blathering about meaningless crap) and supping cheap red wine.

Anybody read anything by Bill Bryson? If yes, what did you think of it?

Hi All,

Today I spent far too much money downloading cringe-worthy rubbish from iTunes.

What did you do?

I went and saw Farenheit 9/11. COuld have been so much better, if MM had stuck with the objective argument instead of dipping into the subjective one and using all sorts of emotive tricks to try and concvince us of his argument. So sad, I found the premises of his argument didn't always add up to the conclusions he was trying to get to. Sad cause it came off looking like a rough draft of a first year paper, when, with a little time and effort it could have appeared more like a Masters thesis. frown

be well.

please don't let Wayne Rooney leave England!!

i'm intrigued by your marlboro lights. i started off smoking marlboro red at 17, but they got really expensive so i ended smoking the cleaning lady's fag of choice: Mayfair Lights whatever

the only time i smoke marlboro lights is when i'm in a club and i have to buy something from a machine, but good god,
they rip my lungs up! how are your lungs?! and how do you afford them?!

...oh yeah, you have a job biggrin blush (and you're invincible too, i bet).

Woah, I just bought this Sinex nasal spray because my nose is all hayfever-blocked. My God, the thing nearly took my head off! I think I need to go have a rest until the dizziness goes away... smile

Oh, one more thing: that referee needs a kicking!

my flatmate is English, Cheltenam, did I spell that right? Although his last name is Jones he denies being Welsh.

How that Ref will ever work again is beyond me!!!

Poor POMs no luck in international footie, Blame Beckham!

slaughtervein:
Yeah, those nasal sprays never did anything for me. But made me dizzy and gave me a headache. That was a good joke, by the way. And I would NOT advise anyone to -drink- blood. With all the disease and what not out there. I'd be scared to. And I totally agree with you, Ep. Anne Rice Vampires make me gag. I'm not knocking her work, I do like her writings. Just, her depiction of what a Vampire is and mine are two totally different visions all together.

But it has been said that there are a lot of different kinds of Vampires. I think every culture has their own idea of what such a creature should look like, and how it should act. You should check out some of the folklore and legends surrounding Asian/Oriental Vampires. Very interesting. You might enjoy them.

As for what I do for a living? Well, that varies I suppose. I'm self employed. A private contractor. I work for myself. I subcontract out my services to certain ''companies'' that need things done. Mostly work a lot of other contractors don't want to do. So I underbid my competition and usuely get the business. Mainly ''Demolition, Waste Disposal and Cleaning'' jobs. Lucky for me, I have all the right -tools- So I'll always be in business. I've ran into some difficulties the past couple of years though. And I'm looking to get out of my ''line of work''. But in my -profession- it's very hard to leave. Talk to you later Ep. Take care.
