I'm the Maid of Honour for my sister's wedding at the end of October. Today I met with the other bridesmaid to discuss our plans for my sister's bridal lingerie shower and gift baskets I'm arranging for her bridal suite. I wasn't looking forward to meeting to discuss all this stuff but it was actually kinda fun. It was nice hanging out with my future sister-in-law.
We're getting a nice food/treat basket for the bedroom and another basket packed with toiletries (bubble bath, massage oil, yada yada) for the bathroom. I thought I'd also get my sister a lower end ipod with a docking station, fill it with romantic music I know she likes, and leave it in the room for their wedding night.
Getting access to the bridal suite and coordinating placing the baskets and such is going to be a logistical nightmare though, especially considering her wedding is in a country church and high tea reception at a golf and country club outside the city. I'm going to have to figure out a way to extricate myself from wedding party pictures etc and get back to the city and into their room before they get back. Did I mention I don't have a car?
Later: I encountered this song for the first time, and it's grand.
VAMPIRE
Try to keep her down beside, but last night I set her free
Free to let her spirit fly, left my choking stare behind
Maybe if her will could grow, she might feel the need to leave
Dying in my shadow, doubting I could ever let her be herself
A sinful reflection of me, will I ever set her free?
My love has shut her up, break the spirit I don't understand
'Cuz even as we're walking hand in hand, my life cuts her up
An evil way to build me strong, a sad judge and so uptight
It's too bad I'm so hung up
I ask a simple question when I know the answer right
I ask me if I love her as I tell her it's all right
But nothing in my life would fit, I turned into an idiot
Vampire, draining her desire
Vampire, smother her with love
When nothing in her life would fit she came upon an idiot
