My favorite group, Edge Crushers, lost a member the other day to an overdose. Ain't gonna say too much about it, cause I've said everything I need to in the group. Still, it's weighing heavier on me then I would have thought it would.
Got my truck back from the dealership today. They couldn't find the little noise I was complaining about, but they disassembled the entire front suspension, bolted it all back together (with some new parts), then the GM of the Service Department drove around in it for an hour on his own, then they went over the entire front end again with a torque wrench, and even threw in some free shocks. Guess how much it cost me?
Nothing. Not one fucking dime. They spent seven hours working on my truck for what turned out to be nothing and didn't even charge me the warranty co-pay. Man, Fiesta Dodge in San Antonio is the fucking shizite. Dealing with them has always been a wet dream. They fucking rock. I almost wish I wasn't moving because finding that kind of service anywhere these days, in any industry, is next to impossible.
Saw my grandpa yesterday. It was my grandma's first birthday since she died, so I went out there with my old man to be with him. We cooked some chicken and played cards for the most of the day, then I spent an hour text messaging with happygrl. She's a damn cool girl.
Last night my cousin borrowed my Dad's truck from me (I'd borrowed it while mine was in the shop cause he and his wife have another car) and it got broken into by her housemate's soon-to-be ex-wife, who also broke into my cousin's house. Soap Opera drama entires my life again. My Dad was pretty pissed that my cousin borrowed the truck and then kept it so late that I couldn't use it anymore (I needed it back before 9:00), and then someone breaks his window cause she left it in her driveway without returning it.
Long day spent doing nothing. Watched The Incredibles though. While the rest of Hollywood is going to shit, for the most part, Pixar keeps making these kick ass movies. That movie ROCKS. They couldn't have picked better voices either. I mean, Sarah Vowell!? Come on! I have been in love with Sarah Vowell for years now. The stuff she does for This American Life is beyond cool.
Day Three of No Smoking and I've only had six or seven cigarettes. I did make it two days though. Better luck tomorrow.
