I never thought WA roads were that bad, but I grew up in PA. I went to Evergreen down in Olympia, and commuted up to Seattle to work at the Mus of flight for a year before I moved back east.
I am very partial to Honda Shadows from the mid-80's too. Currently we have 3 in our family: My '86 1100 and my wife's two '85 500's that are being combined into one much better bike and some ebay fodder. I also had an '83 750 in high school. I've never owned a Magna, but I've enjoyed every ride I've taken on one.
