I don't know why we're supposed to title our blog entries now. Honestly, I don't understand why the site was changed to something so dysfunctional. I am struggling to moderate my groups, glitches let private comments and messages be seen sometimes, and by removing the ability of group members to edit or delete comments in their groups, we have to delete entire threads if one...

Well, the boy's rash got violently worse (very scary), but with treatment it got better. He's still spotty, but it's not seeming to itch any more. Still sick, though. It's been three weeks. If he doesn't feel better soon, we have to skip a family trip to the cabin, too. I'm starting to be really frustrated that we get sick every time his cousins have...

I did dress up. Since this has happened so many times before its pretty much a given I try to look put together when I see doctors now. It was when I removed my cardigan for tests that the doctor ignored my previous statements and began insisting that I must drink and do drugs. :/

Edited to add: I'm sorry your son is sick, I hope he gets better soon frown

Your username, Datsun, caught my attention. Certainly the best car out there. I have a 280 zx (1979), silver. <3

My kid thinks finding Easter eggs is the tits. Every time he nabbed one, he did a little wiggle dance. It is very possible that he might get a repeat shot at it this week before the Easter decorations get put away. biggrin Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it.

Adorable. I love how excited children get over things like that.

My cat is a tuxedo too and we always talk about how he looks fancy wherever he goes. He has really shiny fur too. Now if he behaved the part too that would be fantastic.

I hope that Fancy will be a great addition to your family for many many years!

Congrats on the pup. So adorable!

Thanks for the kind words. The surgery was rough and recovery time is 6 months on the conservative end, but it's truly life changing. The pain I was in before was unliveable and the medication I was on to be able to walk and function made me mentally slow and confused. I was a shell of myself. Luckily, I have a couple months hiatus from work while I wear my back brace and start physical therapy once fusion begins. I'm also blessed with a very supportive boyfriend and great parents who came out from NJ to take care of household chores and such for a month. It's a slow process, but at least I was finally able to begin the process. I'm truly grateful. Thanks again for checking in.

January was the first time we really breathed in awhile. We went to the cabin with Bee's dad, her sister & brother-in-law, and their kids because we were having a Christmas do-over with Bee's grandparents who live nearby. It was tough, and I think it'll be awhile before we're ready to attempt another trip with everyone.

The Celebration of Life was the weekend before Superbowl,...

We aren't big on valentines day but if we were it would most likely involve a romantic home cooked meal with wine and candles smile

Grapevine? It's closest to the city and my husbands job. It won't be the ocean but I'm hoping a lake will do. Living near the water has done wonders for my mental health kiss

Any good news on this year so far? Blog wise? Life Wise?

It's so surreal to try to do the holiday stuff and make plans when we don't know what will be happening with my mother-in-law's health. We're hanging in there, though. I really appreciate all the kind words of support, and the good thoughts kept for her.

In happier news, we're paying off my last student loan today as an early present to my mom (she's...

Tate has a cold. Totally sucks because we couldn't go watch the space shuttle flyby. I heard the jets pass overhead, though.

We're getting chickens again. Four of them. We were supposed to get them today, but now I think it's happening Sunday because Bee has a 12-hour day today. Anyway, a guy she works with is moving to a condo because he's getting a...

Pride weekend was awesome. The baby & I spent time brunching with mah lezzies (and my brother, who's kind of a dyke himself), then we went to Dolores Park & met up with a bunch more people. I had to leave before marching because Bee & I had family obligations, but I think the evening with her fam was better for us, especially for our...

Glad you had such a great weekend! Was wonderful to see you and the li'l one Saturday!

I wish you did live closer. Or that I did.

Sounds like you had a fun week.
btw, I, too, am kind of a dyke. This week is pride week in Toronto. I was hoping to be there spending it with my lezzies, but my bike had different ideas. Which is part of the reason I was in need of a hug.

Cabin trip with Bee's sister & her family was a success.

Baby's room is nearly done - we haven't made the clubhouse yet (waiting until he can walk for safety reasons), but it's insulated, painted, finished, shelved, etc. We've got friends headed out for sush, wine, and movies tonight, but right now I'm sitting in the new bedroom with the baby asleep on my chest....

My good is that Ollie has been sleeping awesome for awhile now. Like she sleeps 6 hours straight, eats, then sleeps 2-3 more hours. It is heavenly.

I have a bad cold & it's making me miserable. It should be impossible to get sick when it's sundress weather!

What can you say... California knows no seasons... including cold ones.

Has your weather been as bipolar as ours has? It's great, with these 70* days in the dead of winter, but the random 20* days don't make it a lot of fun. Feel better!

PS: B&E is fun. Not quite as fun into occupied homes/.buildings, though....smile
