woohoo, I have a Spring Break again!
I plan on going to Austin this next weekend and hang out with my best friend and a handful of other close friends that live there now. The plan (besides hanging out with my friends) is to go to 6th street (if it's not too crowded/crazy (ie not saturday night) so I can have my first bar experience, Yes, it's going to be so cute. Little Michael gets his bar cherry popped. And actually that must hold some appeal because numerous of my friends have declared "I have to be there the first time you go to a bar!!" ..And so I suppose they will be. Also Dave & Busters (I've never been) and Alamo Draft House (again, never been).
B wants to take me to his favorite strip club there as well, but I don't have the money to go, and I can't go to a place like that and be cheap. Besides, I'm surrounded by extremely hot women here on this site. So my desire is satisified. But he really wants to go, this would be the first time we went to one together, and we always said we'd do that back in high school..when we were just beginning to become the penis driven tool's we are today
And on a completely different note, some wickedly awesome news. My cousin is the music and program director at a radio station in VA. She's in desperate need of DJs and this summer she offered me to come up and work on the station and...be on air!
The station is indie rock, but I catch a little of everything on there. They encorpate almost all of my tastes in music and some stuff I haven't even heard of.
I'm _extremely_ happy at the prospect of becoming a radio DJ. Being in a radio station. Being surrounded by music, and people that love music (well this is the ideal situation, and I know my cousin's radio station is like this) There are so many possibilities from that point. I will get the experience of working on a radio, and I can see if I want to persue that field while I get my writing and comedy stuff underway. Also, being in a different enviroment , with different people and places, will inspire me to write a lot. Annd, I can try my stand up at the places around there and see how this part of USA likes my comedy. (hopefully they'll laugh)
So that's my goal. I'm gonna burn through these remaining months and finish college with an A,, continue getting off all my pain medicine, continue doing therapy, and start saving up some money for my trip to VA this summer
man I'm so excited.
my cousin put it best:
"it's high time you left the big TX for some adventures."
yessum, it's high time indeed. This will be my first real adventure on my own. The first adventure of my life on my own. I just gotta keep getting better like I am, and nothing can will stop me
-Take Care Everyone.
